I'm gonna go out on a lark and take Red Sparrow

I'd rather wait another round or two because it's less known that some left on the board but don't wanna get sniped and not loving the other options here right now

it was on my list of 8 movies

i'll punt on emojimovie

don't think it'll even come out this year in the end

its at least a good idea for a movie, tho maybe a ripoff of inside out

I considered King Arthur

Has the potential to do as well as Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes' - although I don't think it will do quite as well. Regardless I'm going to be the first one in line to see it

Considered Red Sparrow as well. JLaw alone should be enough for a 3rd rounder

Lucy, surprisingly, did $126M so this has potential. Director also did Snow White and the Huntsman which did $155M
that movie's probably gonna do really well, all the weird kids who watch anime jizz over it apparently

I was wondering what the anime effect would have on it. I worried about it doing really well worldwide but not as much domestically, but maybe there is a big anime following in the US

I'll take Chips. The jump street movies made a ton of money and this is essentially a derivative.

And, The Circle, Tom Hanks and Emma Watson fresh off Beauty and the Beast. Plus androids/sci-fi are a big money maker right now with Westworld doing so well. Should do alright.

The Circle was on my shortlist

lol, i was going to take the circle but thought there was no way master would take it, then i thought he picks kind of ****ty obscure movies so maybe he will, then i didn't pick it anyway

surprised it lasted that long tbh. Could have gone 8-10 spots earlier and still been a decent pick

Now I don't know where to go; I'll try to pick something soon

I'll just go with Smurfs

Fully animated may help it and it's got a good release date for an animated film

It could do decently; hopefully the animated version will bring out people who grew up on it but had no interest in a partial-live version

Solid 80-110M pick

I would be surprised if it matches the total of the original. It made money but was poorly received. Only a 36 audience score on RT and a 2.9 average rating. It's not going to pull in a lot of new viewers and a 36 audience score isn't going to lead to a ton of repeate business.

Compare that to something like Saw or Insidious which got boosts in their sequel but had a mid 60s-mid80s audience score, and I just don't see it topping the original.
