$250m for Dunkirk seems pretty aggressive, but I guess it wouldn't totally shock me. It's been a pretty strange year at the box office with most movies seemingly either over-performing or under-performing. And there hasn't been any breakout comedies either.

wtf?! ****ing box office mojo predicts valerian will open for 17 million this weekend IN 5TH PLACE! and dunkirk will open for 51 million and first place

valerian has over 200 million dollar budget. i thought it was going to be big

The Emoji Movie currently has 8% on RT, 9 on metacritic and 1.4 on imdb.

I know most people assumed it would suck, but wow. That is hall of fame levels of awful.

The Dark Tower is going to pull in roughly 20-30% RT score and will most likely end up with a C- or worse word of mouth score and a sub 30 opening.

Flop city.

Dark Tower was pretty much always destined to be a bomb.

Sure, once Sony was involved.

I'm sad, its kinda something I've been waiting for for a while. Really wish they had taken the Premium network route.

Yeah from what little I know about Dark Tower it does seem like it would of been a prime target for Premium network route.

With IT set to become a monster hit, looks like Diabolical has this on lockdown unless me or Thingy have a surprise hit up our sleeves

BOM says It will undoubtedly be the largest horror opening of all time.which is believe is currently held by Paranormal Activity 3 at 52 million. Which is a hell of an opening for a September movie

Holy ****.

IT pulled in 13.5 million in Thursday previews, decimating even the super lofty expectations around the industry.

BOM has updated their opening prediction to 85 ****ing million with an outside chance of topping The Exorcists 230 million for highest grossing R rated horror film ever.

Pulling in 180 plus is amazing for the spot IT was taken in, and I'm sad I let my desire for the Dark Tower to be something overshadowed my minds insistence that IT would be the better movie.

Just saw this today btw, and its fantastic. Highly recommended.

Also, It pulled in more than 50 million on Friday, so BOM has again adjusted their potential totals to over 100.

Yeah, It is doing crazy business and it will probably have good legs for a horror movie too. It will almost certainly surpass The Exorcist and even 300m+ isn't out of the question.

I don't think it's possible I can lose this now.

IT pulled in 123m apparently

Yeah upset of the year for sure. A horror movie released in September might pull in 250-300, that's insane
