Here's how it works. I decide on a famous person and tell you all the first letter of his or her last name. For instance, I might pick George Bush, and say, "B".

You then have to earn questions about my person before you can ask anything directly. This is how you do it:

You come up with a different person whose last name also begins with B - ie Christian Bale. You then ask me a trivia question about him, from the perspective of "I". eg:

"I am a American actor who is known for having rage issues. I was in American Psycho"

at which point I either say,

"Ah, Christian Bale!"

in which case you have failed, or

"I don't know"

in which case you have earned a question about my person. So then you'd ask "male or female" or "alive or dead" or something. Well technically they have to be true/false questions but you get the idea. This progresses until you are able to identify my person

If perchance you ask me a question about my own person then you automatically win. Also you can't ask multiple questions about the same person in the same round, and if I fail to identify your person you have to reveal who it is.

Lastly, you need to be reasonably specific about your person because if you aren't specific enough, I can say anyone who fits that category. IE you say composer thinking of Bach but I say Beethoven instead, it fits the category so I still win that round

And if that happens you can't just say "well okay but I meant another one". You have to come up with a different question that applies to that person.

Plus it's just lame if you aren't specific enough. Don't be that guy

Also, if a question is ever asked about a fictional character it must be specified at the start of the question. This goes for the initial person who picks a famous person as well (me in this case)

Research is not allowed, by anyone in the game (myself included). Well, I mean I can research my own guy if you ask a complicated question about him, but when I'm guessing answers to your questions I can't research.

Just ftr, I'm not the best at famous people trivia so there's a good chance I won't know many answers. Also, if you're the selector (as I am right now) make sure to use really famous people because if you don't then the entire round is a waste. I mean, if it's the person's own fault they don't know who the person is then you can't help it, but I mean, just make sure to be reasonable

oooookay so if anyone is around let's try it out.

The letter is

P

edit: and I realize it's a saturday morning so I'll probably just sort of bump this throughout the day to see if anyone wants to play

you try to stump me by asking questions about famous people whose last names start with P

if you succeed, you earn a question about my person

also at any time you can guess who you think my person is, the only downside is that you lose a possible question with which to stump me

edit: though with only "male" and "dead" you probably don't have a good idea of who it is yet
