Rules that I stole from Domer's cold war game

Inevitably, someone will be modkilled . Don't let that goofball be you. Spend a couple of minutes and understand the rules.

DO NOT REFERENCE OR CLAIM YOUR CHARACTER NAME OR FLAVOR.

Characters and flavor are for entertainment and for creating fun & unique roles. Everyone here is going to know the characters from this movie, so please dont even try subtle oblique references to your character or you may end up in that big bowling alley in the sky.

If your role PM says:

You may not ever claim Darth Vader or hint at anything to do with your flavor like "I breathe funny." This is considered cheating.

You may only claim "vig" or the details of what your role does like "I can kill people at night."

If this is at all unclear, PM the mod.

Additionally, everyone in the game has certain skills related to their bowling ability and other things too. You can claim these if you want, though I don't see why you would. You might end up dead if you post really good ones, lol

These are game specific rules and should be read in their entirety. Ignorance is NOT a valid excuse for breaking a rule.

1. Seers that would get role information do not receive character names. Any and all flavor will be deleted when a seer is sent information.

2. Do not edit or delete posts for any reason - this is a modkill.

3. Do not post at night! The thread may not be locked during the night, but posting at night in an unlocked thread unless you have specific reason to do so is not allowed. The same punishments as always will be in place for night posting. :00 good, :01 BAD

4. Please try to refrain from posting in BOLD RED. I will be using that font for in-game events

5. Do not discuss/quote PMs or communications with the mod IN ANY WAY! This includes but is not limited to stuff like rule clarifications and possible substitutions. Just refrain from referencing PMs in any capacity.

6. Dead posting/DVC- THERE IS TO BE NO DEAD POSTING IN THIS GAME - period. After you are dead, you can add me on skype under the name rikand2003 if you wish to be in DVC.

7. All night actions will be due by 3:30 AM EST. Any night action that is not submitted on time is forfeited, not randed.

8. There will be at least 2 Events in a game day. These will occur at approximately 12:30 PM EST and 3:30 PM EST. If there's to be a 3rd, the thread will be informed at SOD

9. There are Night 0 actions.

10. Anyone who has 24-hour chat as indicated in their PM had it starting immediately.

11. There is no MAJ lynch or MUST lynch in this game unless otherwise specified by the mod.

12. All night actions will return at least a "Processed" PM. You will receive this as soon as I get a chance.

Werewolf is a game about lying and catching people lying. It's an adversarial game and arguments between players are normal and expected. Passion and Intensity are fine but excessively personal attacks or insults are not. Even in a werewolf game you must respect the forum rules about civility. Failure to do so may cause you to be infracted or temp banned, and repeated problems may get you perma-banned.

Werewolf is also a community and team-based game. While there are many styles and strategies and reasons for playing and you may choose your own, you are expected to be respectful of the time and energy others put in as players and as moderators. You are expected to play to win. Intentionally sabotaging your team, or choosing strategies with the sole purpose of trolling other players in the game is not allowed.

Voting

Each day, each player is allowed (and encouraged) to vote to lynch a player. To do so, type the name of the player in bold. You may abbreviate the name of the player, provided it is clear to other players (and the moderator) whom you mean.

You may remove your vote by posting "unvote". You may change your vote simply by voting the new player; you do not need to unvote.

At the end of the scheduled game day, and in the absence of any mechanics which may alter it, the player with the most votes is lynched, and his role revealed in the thread. If two or more players are tied for the most votes, one of the tied players is chosen randomly by the moderator.

Day and Night Times

All times given are server time, which is also Eastern Standard Time.

We will open the thread every morning by posting "It is day." You may not post in the thread until we have made the morning post. Day will usually start around 4:00 AM

Day lasts until 9:00 PM. Posting at 9:00 PM is acceptable, and votes with that time stamp will be counted. Posting after that, even just a minute after, is not acceptable, even if I have not yet declared it night by posting "It is night." Do not post in the thread at any time, for any reason, between the end of the day and the opening of the thead the next morning.

Weekends are different: There is not "night" Saturday night -- the thread remains open from Saturday morning until Sunday evening. There is no scheduled Saturday night lynch unless there is near-unanimous agreement to have it.

*EVENTS*

There will be at least 2 events per day. A bowling event and then another event which will vary day on day. The rules of each event will essentially remain the same, but the format for scoring each will vary considerably each day. Basically I dont want anyone figuring out my system or hacking the gibson....

Special Note about Start of day death reveals

I'm a BIG fan of flavour and of game threads when I first used to play many years ago where you could be aware of which teams/individuals were making which kills. With that in mind, you may encounter similar situations in my Start of day reveals to that effect. I obviously won't be outright saying who killed who, but there could be subtle hints in there somewhere indicating which team made the kill or whether it was a mob or an individual etc....

heh my laptop is ****ed so will be posting on phone quite a bit.
for some reason double posts happen alot on my phone but I can't delete it.

so how excited are you for the game?

I certainly hope that tbl knowledge is rewarded as that was a big reason I signed up.
I'm not very good at large field mashes but figured that might be offset by my absurdly deep familiarity with tbl.
