Drive-off depreciation obviously varies by model, but of course nothing is 50%. If you strike a good deal on a used car, you're better off. If you strike a bad deal, so much for that being a good idea.
I'm pretty addicted to having no car payment, but I'm enticed by some of the newer technology like adaptive cruise control.
One of these days I'll get a new vehicle, probably for a real dumb reason - Michigan is likely to pass a no driver cell phone use unless it's an integrated bluetooth hands free setup law and I've got nothing of the sort. It's not something I need a lot but there are times when business demands that I take a call while keeping a schedule.
