I assume roled means wolf or PR

Don't worry, I doubt you're alone on this. I'm not inclined to go away from the advertised time that people signed up for unless there's a clearly overwhelming sentiment in favor of a switch. Don't really want to jerk the people around who signed up for what was originally offered.

I thought 2p2 was the only site that used villager/wolf instead of town/scum

I thought townie and scum were pretty much MafiaScum (have never played there - have heard the games are excruciatingly slow).

On Ork, where I come from, we use PJV (plain jane villager) for a vanilla villager, often shortened to PJ or peej. Villagers with roles (what I think u call PR here) are GGRP (Good Guy Role Player). We use the term "wolf" pretty much colloquially and interchangeable with BG (Bad Guy), as most of our games these days are theme games the "official" designation is BGRP (Bad Guy Role Player). So "roled" simply means anyone who is not a vanilla villager.

So anyways I am totally comfortable with all that lingo and will respect/use the prevailing lingo here (although I might slip here and there).

ayup. It also has a useful connotation of getting a read on someone who is not a vanilla villager but not getting a solid feel for alignment, as in, "That dude is certainly roled but hard to tell which way."

I'm happy that I have found a way in hearts of so many that with each new gimmack they spend couple of minutes wondering if that's me. I am like 97% sure that q_q outed because of that.

But yeah Turtle! is not me, I am still giving him some odds to be someone from this site.

If I was going to join this game under a gimmack I sure would have name it after plot.

1. Give someone a gun - someone will shoot gun. Also known as the Great Star Wars Light Saber Rule in that it really applies to all kinds of toys
2. All noobs look wolfy/roled always.
3. Most wolves can't help over-explaining absences even though they know they shouldn't
4. Never trust an Indy. Unless the Indy is me. Then you should totally trust me (even though you really shouldn't).
5. Wolf boards are generally far less organized than villages tend to give them credit for.
6. The village, from the standpoint of being a collective consciousness, is ******ed

dont worry i came off roled as **** my first 10-15 games. Then, slowly but surely, i started getting more comfortable. Hell, every now and again I still come off rolly but I've learned to live with it

Agreed he seems classy.

It's a shame I'll have to try to mislynch him.

Welcome to the game. We're full.

And now we have an awkward 4-day wait until you all get your roles.

no, rand it tonight so we can comtemplate our gameplans for 4 days

Agree

I figure the chances are small that nobody outs between now and Sunday for legit reasons, and if roles go out early at all it will look like they outed for randing wolf. And since I have no intention of enforcing that "don't talk about subs" rule, that wouldn't be great. But I'll get the roles out first thing when I get up on Sunday.

Would people rather have the game open on Sunday night or on Monday morning? I always think that waiting until Monday morning is more fair, but the thread opening late Sunday night to start d1 seems fairly popular.
09-10-2014 , 10:53 PM
I rather have a Sunday night opening
09-10-2014 , 11:48 PM
i prefer it open in the morning

early open sucks for wolf team
09-10-2014 , 11:57 PM
That's always my feeling too about the early thread open.

So that's my default position, an overwhelming call for Sunday night open may sway me.
09-10-2014 , 11:57 PM
whatever time it opens just explicitly say so

i hate when games open up 12hrs early and i miss 1k posts
09-11-2014 , 12:53 AM
Monday morning at 4 am

That way you get both the degenerates and the early risers
