I noticed that, too, & it again reminded me of his posting last game. Seemed indicative of a lack of self-awareness if villager, & forced bombaticness if wolf.

I assume you're busy doing some villagery analysis of the thread thus far then?

I don't think there is a case for me being wolfy, but I'm always happy to listen to them, as they can hopefully tell me about people's motives.

bolded is weird. 'legit' is affirming your own honesty on something you wouldn't lie about, so it pinges me on the mindset you had writing that. 'like I said, pretty blasted' is an excuse, and an unnecessary one for that matter.

I like Jmurder3 posts, for the better part. The NGL reasoning is pointing at something other than the thread. I remember doing that kind of stuff in my wolf games.

cause you're obviously phone posting to start the game, and obviously you're away from home so you're more likely to be on a phone than on a computer but posting on a phone to start the game and doing so semi-actively is a good look imo.

With regards to zorkman's post, it doesn't really matter if you think there is or there isn't, it's about what he thinks. And it seems like they wanted to say your wolfy, and added a bunch of words that look like a case, but it's surface level at best.

Feels like one of my own leaks as a wolf, so I see it in others. Maybe that's bad though

Forced bombasticness is a fine way to describe my style day 1. I'm trying to generate reads by bouncing off of people.

I don't care much for projecting obvtown, because the level i generally operate from i expect mafia to be doing that day 1 at least. Town needs to generate info and its easier to do that by acting slightly scummy.

zorkman's posts felt like he was trying to pocket me, but i am in agreement with him that jmurder3 isn't as towny as some people are reading him. I don't know his personal style, but his posts seem very polished and confident which I tend to associate with wolves this early, but its the sort of thing that would be informed by personal meta.

I was thinking of making a gimmick account for WW games, but I would need to talk to my avatar guy about what other things he can make a J murder in gif format (not that you would read it).

There was nothing in the thread, but I do agree that some people use that sort of stuff for fake work in putting on a case later...& other people like Xkf do a complex analysis of all previous posting of people & make definitive statements regarding the shape of posts & things.

It made me wonder if there was some sort of additional history there.

jesus christ. i'm west coast. the thread opened at 5 am. last game when i was a wolf i posted shortly after thread open, and got scum read for it.

before this game started i did think about whether or not i should post so early. I decided it didnt matter and I'd post when i felt like it. I didn't feel like it when i half woke up super early. later after a cup of coffee i posted.

I was impressed by some of the logic people brought to the game last time around, but the amount of credence you put into something as silly as when someone posts seems asinine to me.

I wasn't referring to your read, I was referring to the part about not objecting to people calling me wolfy. I liked your thought process on Zork, though, even if I don't necessarily think he's a wolf because that was an odd retraction to me if he was, & have tended to like your thought processes a lot this game, which is why for once I don't have the initial instinct to think you're a wolf.

I'm an attorney. I'm polished & confident with the English language. I am very not confident in my ability to find wolves, though, as I've only played a few games, & I tend to think that the wrong things are wolfy.

So the best thing I can do is engage people in conversation & try to help those better at this than me to make an informed decision.

NGL too defensive

To me, the eager beaver read was pretty much a one-time, first game thing. From now on it's just going to be a levels game if we try to use it, meaning it's not going to be super reliable.

ok first of all, you sound angry. most of your posts don't read me as someone having any fun doing this.

Since you speak of 'town' and 'scum', I know you come from a different website. Maybe boardgamegeek. I played on BGG once and got mislynched d2 when I was the only one with the good reads in the game. If you played here and got mislynched last game, that's just you being low hanging fruit on a different website. wolves will look at your post and find an opportunity, while villagers will find you wolfy and confusing.

You still haven't answered me if you were a wolf or a villager last game. It matters to me because if you were a villager and got ML, this time you can actually bank on that as a wolf and act the way you're acting. If you were a wolf, the brazeness if a lot more villagery.

Unsure what to think of jm3 saying he agrees with my thought process on zorkman. While I think it makes sense, I can't remember the last time jm3 actually agreed with me, lol
