Posts like these are generally fine, but as long as you don't actually run into the post limit. Should they ever keep you from posting something more substantive, it's going to look as if they're meant to pad your post count.

Did you find me wolfy in our first game together? You made no brotherly advance in my general direction, as far as I can recall. At the end you got a bit paranoid that I was the last wolf because you were worried that I'd beat you at final three, but that was about it.

Seeing as several of us said in the sign-up thread that we would miss EoDs, early wagoning will also be helpful to minimize off-wagon voting.

You get some role-neutral-but-helpful points for making several of the role-neutral-but-helpful points I was going to make.

My vote is for McAvoy, who is a +EV lynch d1 pretty much regardless of his role.

Inasmuch as Mac becomes easier to read when given time to operate, day one is not the optimal time to lynch him.

Re: 6/18 Slow (PoR) Batman WW Game
Hey Everyone,
In light of the way I typically play games and my desire to continually try different things in games to have even more fun, I am going to make the attempt to have my posts be as substantial in terms of content, and also sparse.
Hopefully, I will be making no more than 10 posts in a given game day, so 5 posts each day is about what to expect.
For now I am going to allow everyone else to enter and make opening posts, reactions, and will be back later to give my opinions and my reads.
For now I am going to go with bsball who is a strong villa in a setting like this and sponge his vote of:
McAvoy
This is partially because of the reasons bsball wrote, the idea that bsball is a strong villager in this format, and to help generate early game discussion and ideas.
My goal will be to make this game as enjoyable as possible for everyone involved, and for a village win.

Hi Bsball,
No, I'm not a gimmick. I've played exactly 2 games of WW - one here, the Willi Vanilli game (as Dayamayii), the other more recently on the dope (Realm of Phere) under this name. Both were villa. I was co-modding Novaya Zemlya not through WW experience, but providing colour. It's also been great vantage point to watch & ask Evene questions. I'm female, and I'm in Australia so my overlaps will be slim.
Look forward to playing with you guys and learning some more.

Holy pop-ins, Batman! BJ, in particular, would have had things to comment on. Instead he says, "lettuce go," and stops.

Hi, Larry. I dislike your opener for the following reasons: - Draconian self-imposed post-restrictions can't be very helpful to the village.
- I'd expect you to have your own opinion about whether it's +EV to policy lynch Mac instead of sponging.
- Saying that you're voting partially to help generate discussion implies that you don't believe in your vote, which is level one wolfy. It's also counterproductive to generating discussion, because it diminishes your vote's importance in the eyes of others.

This whole post just reads like a trying too hard wolf claim to me
bsball
also for some reason I thought this was a regular speed PoR game. 30 posts in two days? I should probably be doing more in this post :P
but one wolf though. That's not bad.
eh, OK, I'll add a bit more
super thin retardo village lean to xxsooted for his entrance post :P
and another super duper xtra-thin dumb village lean to BJAIDS just because.

Re: 6/18 Slow (PoR) Batman WW Game
I'm pretty tired of getting mislynched fwiw. Gonna do my best this time to get to the end of it alive.
My reads so far are:
bsball: I went to look at some of his previous games: poker vanilla game (villa), pokemon game (unfinished and I suppose wolf?) and the antarctica game (villa) to know how he usually addresses D1 and stuff. His approach in all games was somewhat similar: starts the thread already posting votes w/ weak reasoning (after all it's D1). The difference here is what wellnamed pointed out: The "trying too hard" aspect of the posts today, which can be viewed as unnatural/wolfy or just trying to write as much as you can since the game is restricted. For now I have a slight wolf lean on him though, for having the most unnatural tone so far.
Also don't like the reasons given for lynching mcavoy. That's obviously a joke wagon but let's actively try to find wolves.

What does this post even mean
You read three games, of which one I was a wolf, and noticed similarities among every game. Even if your analysis were valid in the sense that this were not a post restriction game and I have the same approach here that I had in the past (which isn't true; I'm acting very differently in PoR games no matter what my role), I would have been taking an identical line as a wolf in previous games as I did as a villager and thus your supposed differences you see here wouldn't actually mean anything.
Of course, this is a PoR game, so I don't even know why you are trying to make a comparison between this game and previous games in the first place.
The reason I made my post (to address both you and well named) was because I noticed that there were a large number of people in this game who likely have not ever played a post restriction game or had not played one in a long time. Of course it looks "helpful" on the surface, but that doesn't necessarily make it wolfy. Well named knows better than this- I'm just as likely to make this post as a villager genuinely trying to help as I am to make it as a wolf trying to get villager cred.
Also, the mcavoy wagon is not a joke- I believe he is an actual liability to a village as a villager (and obviously if he's a wolf, we want to lynch him).
You are now on my wolf list, though. Congrats!

Re: 6/18 Slow (PoR) Batman WW Game
Giving hardcore a wolf lean for that post makes no sense
Dude immediately went off and did a bunch of research and makes a villagery post and complains about getting mislynched a few times and you want to lynch him for it
lol bsball imo :P

The post itself makes no sense. How can you possibly say that it's a villagery post when his analysis goes
"I looked at three of his regular, non post restricted games, two villager, and one wolf. In all three, he was acting a certain way. In this slow, post restricted game, he's acting completely differently. Therefore, he is wolfy."
That literally makes no sense from a logical standpoint. And yes, I give people wolf leans for not making sense.
Out for a while since I think this is 5 posts

Re: 6/18 Slow (PoR) Batman WW Game
bsball, perhaps you have poor reading comprehension. When have I said you're acting completely different? Please quote where I did that. Starting with lol votes can be villagery, role neutral or wolfy. I'm addressing what my thoughts were after researching your previous games. Also starting the thread by voting on someone who didn't show up yet 30 minutes into the game can mean anything. I was trying to establish what it meant to me.
My wolf lean on you comes from your unnatural tone, especially with the "I'll give you a wolf lean if you reach 30 posts before EOD" threat. FWIW, if that's such a clear wolf strategy to you, you shouldn't even post it in the first place imo. And like I clearly stablished where my wolf lean came from lol. Did you actually read what I posted?
Anyway, bsball.

Re: 6/18 Slow (PoR) Batman WW Game
ok was gonna do a big MQ of the action so far, but no one reads those, and most of what i was going to say has been said already. so here are some quick thoughts:
- Fixated wasted a few posts to say/do nothing basically
- Tanaer the same pretty much
- i liked how tappo called out UFO & BJAIDS for their hit & runs (xxsooted did this too after), it's weird in any game, and in a normal game of decent size it's a decent-ish wolf tell i think. people want to check in up their post count, blend in as much as possible, but disappear bc they have nothing to say. in a post-restricted game i'm not really sure what it means though (my 1st, ldo). seems pretty stupid to do that as a wolf. but wolves also do stupid things sometimes? idk, yeah this is basically a hedgey nothing point here, would like some input if ppl have thoughts on any of this.
- Larry's opening post was awful for a bunch of reasons, so if he's a villager i hope that was the point.
- not sure how i feel about bsball seriously arguing for a D1 policy lynch of Mac as a player, role regardless. if he is serious, i feel bad for Mac as a player (role regardless), cannot be fun to sign up for games and deal with this. kinda like ppl who are considered too good and spk'd early always.
- wn is right that bsball's opener isn't great, but neither was his, lol
- agree with bsball that UFO's post didn't make a lot of sense

lol, yeah i PM'd the mod right away when i saw that (i assume others might have done the same), but i was thinking about how ridic it'd be to play a game with that kind of information. villa starting the game wth 5 villa peeks, i'd feel pretty bad if i managed to lose a game like that...
and just for kicks, who was the wolf team in rand #1? seer?

yeah in my "needs to improve" category includes "wolf hunting". i recently realized that i've been doing it wrong since the beginning pretty much, now slowly working at making adjustments and improving. i should probably stop playing games and do more reading (or sign up for a WW boot camp, lol), but that's boring, amirite? how does everyone else hunt wolves? any tips?
UFO: why are you tunneling on bsball? you gave your reads so far, but have stopped at the first one, why*? imo, it would be counter-productive to continue this for the entirety of the gameday, and have both of you burn up a bunch of posts fighting. ok so you have a tone read on bsball being unnatural? sick. he's unnatural as a wolf? it feels extremely thin unless you do the work to prove it.
* - kinda rhetorical, if y'all catch my drift...
(and no don't burn yet another post to argue with me about this now, either do some work to prove your read is correct, like by reading some wolf games of him maybe, or wait for more stuff to happen and multi or w/e)
