I think the early heat on you wasn't caused by sounding wolfy as much as the impression that you were struggling to come up with content, which I guess was mainly a product of you posting from work. Now that you've been contributing more, people have been updating their reads on you.

I'm just quoting this for so UAW notices that I wasn't the only one getting a wolfy vibe from Tapp.

This argument doesn't work. Your point ("He sounded defensive") isn't Vorac's point ("He made a pre-written post and I don't like it") isn't Binkles' point ("His focus wasn't what I'd expect").

I was so sure i remembered you being a wolf once.

No, I've never wolfed. I have an eight game villager/seer streak going (nine if you count turbos, which I wouldn't).

Re: 4/23 Vanilla Slow Game (PoR) -- The Night Watch
I had company in town until yesterday. Really, really annoying company. Should have said so in the signup thread but got my dates slightly mixed up, sorry.
I'm like 80% sure I know who Sparky is, not sure how we feel about discussing the gimmick. I think it's someone who is a pretty good villager and an OK wolf.
I think Birdie actually looks pretty villagery. On the one hand it does raise a red flag because his posting as villager usually makes me want to immediately lynch him with prejudice. Playing out of character is my #1 most successful way of using meta to find wolves early, when there's very little mechanics in play (or for d1 none at all). On the other hand he's obviously putting thought into the game and showing his thought processes well, which is #1 most successful way to clear villagers early. Maybe the slower and more deliberative nature of a slow PR game suits him well? So he gets a villager lean with an * to reevaluate later. I think if he's a wolf he won't he able to keep it up and it should be obvious in a couple days, and by the same logic, if he's villa he should only get better as the days go on.
Speaking of acting out of character, omg Sun Tzu. This happy fluffy posting is totally out of character for his villager game. It is in character for his wolf game. And that long post with an emotional appeal to not vote him is pretty terrible. Probably the best vote at this point.
I can see where the El Timon pressure came from, but that long multi quote he did is good imo. Probably not a good vote at this point.
Derm, meh. Can't really read him. What I do find interesting is Sparky's reaction to derm's first multi quote. IMO the quote was nothing special, and actually a little on the bad side: it addressed some not very relevant stuff, didn't really go into thought processes as much as I want to see, and felt "out of place" in that it didn't flow with the thread, but rather brought what seemed like random posts (not even the most interesting early posts worthy of analysis imo) and made some sundry comments. Sparky's reaction - to call it awesome - seems really out of proportion to the actual content of the post. It felt like Sparky's reaction flowed from his preconceived read (which there was no reason for), rather than his read flowing from his reading of derm's post.

Re: 4/23 Vanilla Slow Game (PoR) -- The Night Watch
Sun Tzu
Other random thoughts:
Unless captain binkles has really stepped up his wolf game, he's like 90% to be villager here. The long posts are somewhat of a giveaway, but what really solidifies the read is the talking about and analyzing his own game (cf. talking about wanting to incorporate more tone reading). I've only ever seen him do this with gusto as villa. Which is kind of odd since talking extensively about your own game is usually wolfy for a random. Proobably why I just tunneled him ruthlessly in his first game even though literally everyone else cleared him.
Aksdal seems villa-ish as well, but gets a * because I don't read him well despite having played about a zillion games with him.
Tappokone, ugh, he always comes off wolfy to me for some reason. Hopefully I'll be able to read him better later.
MrGatito, maybe you've said and I'm sorry if I missed it, but how many games have you played?

Re: 4/23 Vanilla Slow Game (PoR) -- The Night Watch
Fixated, ugh, kinda hate that wagon. I mean, yes, his posting has been somewhat terrible, he's overly defensive, clearly struggling to come up with content.
But, confounding factors:
Posting well on d1 is actually difficult for a lot of people in any role, so posting badly isn't as much of a wolf tell as people think it is imo.
The way he's played makes it easy to vote for him. I hate easy wagons d1. Say he continues to stink it up in thread and gets lynched and flips villa. What do we do about that d2? Since it was easy for both villagers and wolves to vote him, the information content of the lynch is low, leaving us behind d2. Having an easy wagon like that is sub-optimal.
