I guess we can throw up a signup for a vanilla+

I was in a pretty tough spot. Given the Wire game, it was certainly possible that I'd fall way short, as most of the POG regs had already committed to the other game, and I would have hated to cancel on Sunday just when people were expecting PMs. I wanted to give a vanilla+ a chance to run, at least, by canceling early.
It was a unique situation and I had to make a judgment call. Again, my apologies.

Re: 2012 Werewolf Scheduling Thread
i was thinking that in situations where there's a conflict with a big SE game starting on the same day, why not just shift the start date a few days to a Wed/Thurs/Fri or something like that (oh, i see there is another game starting later that week, nvm then prob)? that way ppl who get killed early in that one will likely just sign up for the other game at the last minute, especially when the SE game is supposed to have ITA's. #lookout!
then again, in most cases it probably won't be a problem. my game with Stevie started the same day as Mystery Mash 2, and i don't think there was a huge problem there (even though any direct conflict of games probably takes a good 5-10 SEers out of a POG game starting on the same day). but with this Wire game they're shooting for almost twice as many players as we had, so yeah maybe more of a problem, but also maybe a decent opportunity to start a few days later.
just a thought.

Re: 2012 Werewolf Scheduling Thread
we had a chance at a mishmash with most of the SEers out and we just cancelled it.
What a fail...

You should have asked for feedback before making that decision and just canceling the game.

There wasn't a problem or the need to push back, game had 18/37 signups with 5 days to go.

Re: 2012 Werewolf Scheduling Thread
Loretta, I have no idea what a SE game is. I may watch the first time, unless you think I'd do OK.
I can put together a superfast mishmash to start on the 19th, if you guys need. I can just re-use one of the games I've played on other boards. Let me know if it's a go or not.

Re: 2012 Werewolf Scheduling Thread
its the Sporting Events forum
i'm not sure how well you'd get along with some of the guys in SE, not sure a female has ever posted in that forum, but you're welcome to play.

Re: 2012 Werewolf Scheduling Thread
Sorry, I suck. I really shouldn't do it. I would love to, though. I just don't want to overcommit myself and then have something yucky happen in the game because I was really too busy to do it properly.
