Ok... just talking out loud...

It is associated with biology, so it could be something like coral (but it isn't, it seems) or something that lives (like a plant or something) but not something like an animal, as that would not have been considered an object by Uncle Dynamite

Need some pretty good 50/50 questions because there are ~400,000 plants in the world, many of which would meet the size criteria and wouldnt be available on Amazon.

Things to consider (assuming it's a plant):

Does it flower?

Is it commonly used in cooking?

Is it often used as an indoor plant?

I think we should narrow down the thing/species, like if it grows, is it living, a plant etc.
Also material is kind of important.

Q - Does it grow?

Sounds like a steaming pile of bull**** to me

it fits into a basketball. That would limit the majority of plants..

Also, it could be a snail or something.. May need to use a question to find out "how" it lives?

Q - Does it grow?

I'd be surprised if we get anything but yes for this...

By the same token as before, a snail is not seen as an object.

I get you.. I am just thinking what is biological that doesn't grow? So not sure how the question narrows anything down. Of course their could be living things that don't grow at all. I just cant think of any.

If it's still alive

So you think we should change the question to - "Is it still/currently growing?" could possibly get misleading though

Ok, hint. Object is not "alive". Do you guys still want me to answer HV's question?

I am confused. It was related to geology and biology, and then we found out it was not related to geology (thus was related to biology).

Biology is the study of life and living things, yet this is not alive.....

this is going to be a tough one..

I think no ? I can't really think of much that isn't alive but would still be growing. I presume things like fungus count as alive. And would something like a fingernail be classified as alive?

Also we could ask if it's a standalone thing, or part of something bigger.

The football match between the Manchester clubs that was called off today was supposed to be in a stadium called the "Bird's Nest" in China.

I was telling someone earlier about a "bird's nest soup", made using the saliva of swiftlets that is popular in certain parts of Asia.

Maybe its something like that

Yeah. Could be a bees nest or wasp nest too. I think it is probably something like you suggest though....

Well "Does it grow?" was still an official Q.
I think we have enough for it to narrow down either way.

Bird's nest soup would not exist without humans. It would be more likely to simply be a bird's nest.

We could ask if it something that is secreted or excreted by an animal.
