working on our game vs hud (stats)

Yo, Just looked at my stats after january (stats of 2012 only) on 36k hands on nl50 HU I only have a 13.39% 3bet , my agression frequency is 2.00...etc

Anyone think It shows some aspects of our game or as long as we adapt to vilain, we should not care about stats? Saw lot of people talking about show down vs non show down lines... ev lines (which I really think Is worth **** imo , etc

What do you think about these? Should I see my 3bet % and tell myself...hmmm maybe it really is a leak in my game? Should I tell myself...hmmm I should try and push the 2.0 AF to 2.5 (dunno why I would..but asking :P )

----) for sure, against players who donk a lot in 3bet pots, I wont 3bet hands that doesnt flop well.... if vilain folds to a lotttt of cbets, ill 3bet like .... 20 to 30 %

buttt is there any " standard " in Heads up? Like okay I adapt my game to other players, but "my game" has to be kinda....optimal in the first place? yea? no?

...These are the kind of stuff I think before going to bed since a couple months... happy (for her) I dont have a gfriend these times :P

Re: working on our game vs hud (stats)

Adjusting your stats without something to adjust against is like getting dressed staring into a wall instead of a mirror, it is first when you see what you need to change that you are able to make the correct adjustments. It all comes down to opponent tendencies. That being said, it is easier to remain sane in this game if you have some sort of normality in your game and some sort of guidelines that you like to keep yourself within. Don't try to change anything too big too fast.

Re: working on our game vs hud (stats)

While adjusting is the goal, having your stats within certain ranges is not less important.

If your average steal its 40% then you're doing it wrong vs 99% of the field.
If your average cc oop preflop is 70%, you're doing it wrong again.

So yes there are some boundaries in stats beyond wich you start to heavely leak money vs average population, if thats what you're asking.

Re: working on our game vs hud (stats)

~30k hands nl50/nl100 HU (since 20th december)

20% 3bet
3.48 Agg

I dont know, at nl50/nl100 there are so many players, who just wanna make hands, that i stay aggressive and win all the small pots often... Obv. when you have a huge station on your table, you have to adjust and cbet less, dont steal 90-100% and so on... I just start my matches always very aggressive and then i adjust simply better than my opponent

@OP:
You have won alot in january, havent you? So, it seems to work, but against good regs, you will have problems with your stats... Especially when you move up

true, ill have to balance my range a lot more, bluff a bit more in some spots (either to take down the pot, or to induce more calls later on ---) then adjust) Ill try in february to play more "ok" players and watch more videos (which I already started to focus on)

hmmm .. think ima go watch one right now too :P
