What is a good volume of hands? What is a good volume of hands?

Hello,

I play a lot of heads up and short handed games. Eventually I would like to make poker my only source of income. If you had a good win rate, what would be considered necessary volume to put in? I have almost been putting in 2000 hands a day in between heads up/short handed games, but some days I do fall short. Would 60k hands suffice?

Okay let me rephrase the question. If I am playing .50/$1 and am a good player/winning, how many hands a month would be considered good volume?

50k hands nl100 and 10bb/100 winrate = 5k pre rb

If you are nl100 player I would recommend to play less volume, learn how to play and climb up the stakes instead of putting crazy volume nl100.

Okay, thanks. You indirectly answered my question. It seems 60k hands would be sufficient if you are a winning player.

At this point in time, I am not at NL100. I know the rake can be substantial but I am really game selecting and just going after this bums at this point. Not playing any regs.
