Theory Question. A lot of time I dealt a small to medium pocket pair in the BB with a medium stack and have no idea what to do.
1. I can't set mine profitably due to stack sizes, so I don't like a call.
2. If i'm 3 betting, and get 4bet shove / call - I'm in an ugly spot most of the time. I'm almost always flipping or worse. So it's a 3 bet bluff, and it doesn't make any sense.
3. 3 Bet all in seems like a bad option as well. Never get callef drom a worse hand.
4. Fold is not an option.
You can call and play postflop without just check folding if you don't flop a set.
Medium pairs should be good enough to 3b GII pre at 40bb, maybe 66+?

I will find my self in tough spot against calls. There are almost any good flops for 66.

It depends how he plays post flop for me. If hes super aggro post then I think I would go for the 3b unless he calls a lot of 3b. If hes more balanced or passive I tend to call as I have better chance to realize my equity. Just because the stacks are awkward doesn't mean you can't profitably flat against certain opponents. I don't play ss often so not really sure what is gto in these type of situations.
