NL50: Turn Decision with 2nd Pair and NFD

Hello guys. I have stats on villain but it looks like they were 6max hands and we were on a 6max table playing HU. Not sure how much to put into these stats, but villain is playing 32/31/7.3 over 186 hands w/ a 3bet of 18%.

But i don't recall playing with him so really I have no reads. He was 3betting me A LOT in like the first 15-20 hands up to this hand. Then I started to 3bet back and he folded I think twice to my 3bets so this hand is the first hand he called my 3bet with.

So with AJs, it's an easy 3bet since he was opening every button. I get called and I think the cbet OTF is fairly standard. Now my question is now, what do I do OTT? I turned the NFD but the 9 isn't one of the greatest cards. Villain can have QT and the multitude of two pairs out there. Is this a c/c? b/f? b/c?

c/c is decent but I'm basically committing myself with such a small SPR so I guess it's either b/f or b/c? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Effective stacks are 100bb right?
I'd probably c/r AI but depends a little on how likely you think he is to pure float u. You can also b/c i guess.

oops sorry, yes 100bb effective. Oh I didn't even think of c/rai. That's a good one but yea he'd have to be on a pure float i guess.

Looking at the board, it hits (in general) a 3bet calling range pretty good. So putting villain on pure floats is probably isn't a huge part of villain's range.

Re: NL50: Turn Decision with 2nd Pair and NFD

If you bet the turn it will never be a bet fold, you have way too much equity vs his range to ever fold considering he almost never has a set and even against q10 your doing ok against.

cr ai on the turn doesnt seem that good to me your never getting better to fold and like you said its unlikely villain has floated pure air here.

I think chking the turn is good here because you can call when he bets and if he chks behind you can valuebet most rivers as most villains should be betting the turn with top pair + and if the turn goes chk chk villains can deffo level themselves into a call on brick rivers with hands that will probably fold if you barrelled the turn.

If I bet, really I don't think I'm folding better (Kx) but I think I have a good amount of equity that I have to bet and get it in somehow?

Don't like this. Too big. $11 is about right.

11 is too small. What is your point in betting 11$? There still is a great chance we dont have the best hand here so Id gladly take it down on the turn but 11$ isnt gonna cut it

only saw this thread because the 2+2 app spit it At the top of its splash page, I play plo... But I must respond to the above post.

So, you want to bet more then 55% of pot ott to fold out hands that beat 2nd pair / top kicker in a heads-up nlhe hand?

Wat?

A better hand will never fold here, doesn't matter how much you bet.! I like to bet big just to get more value.
