Since you probably 3-bet many hands with aces in them, like ATs+, AJo+, you have a fair number of aces in your 3b range, and need some in your preflop flatting range. In e.g. 6-max, a hand like A3s is in many spots kind of hopeless as a flat against an open, so you have those in your 3b range some of the time. In heads-up, where btn will often open close to 100% of hands, these weak aces (suited and unsuited) usually do just fine as calls.
