sup guys, villian is Ded0verbet, solid nl50 zoom reg, recently playing in some tougher nl100 lineups

he's for sure on a nitty side, but so is everyone decent at lowestakes zoom I'm playing pretty std, with 14-ish 3bet and around 6-7 x/r flop

until river all seems std i guess

fold here seems extremely nitty and exploitative, but I'm not even sure if he shoves JJ here, so I shouldn't get exploited too hard only calling with 89 and few combos of KQ that i flatted pre and decided to xr

Ofc we still beat bluffs, but that just doesn't seem like a spot where he can show up with the bluff all that often, apart from smth like 88-99 (which would more often than not check the flop), as KK and QQ are probably better off calling.

thoughts?

with your image and vs him i think it's not a mistake if you fold the river

they would have to be a monster nit for me to fold here but what are you folding to aces and KQ. Maybe KQ but still not folding too exploitable. if hes balanced at all you have to call here right?

T9/T8 are the bluff combos people would actually use; you don't need two cards of a straight (particularly a straight that hardly even registers in KQ).

yeah, that's correct, I somehow missed those combos. Thoughts on the rest of my thought process?

Raise flop bigger, bet turn bigger, call river.
