    atm im 3-betting AT+,KQ,88+ and hands that are to bad to call a 3x like 78o 64s Q8s K5s.

why should i add hands to my 3-betting range i can call with?

EV: 3b QTs > flat QTs > fold QTs. (In general.)

but if i 3-bet QTcc i have to change my 3-betting range completly, as i cant 3-bet all hands. do you have a competent paper i can read how i should construct my range and why?

Sounds like you kind of need to, tbh.

Also, is the rake at 100nl seriously so terrible that you can't call 3x opens with 87o/64s/Q8s/K5s?

if i call this hands i have to c/r so many flops...

and if the villians pick on that it will be awfully hard to play this strategy. why is 3-betting polarized like i do worse than 3-betting hands like QTss and value?

Q8s and K5s aren't that bad to call with. Those are the types of hands that can flop 2 pair or trips and the villain will have a hard time folding. Also you can flop flush draws and can C/R a villain off his ace high ect. I dunno about 64s and 78o - you can 3bet them sometimes if you want but I wouldn't get carried away. Also if you miss with these hands it's no big deal and an EZ fold

As for QTs I 3bet this most of the time. I will call with it vs a tilted villain because he may 4bet me off it.

I wouldn't say you should always 3bet this hand - but in general I would say it's better.

you can also call with QTs vs a "normal" sized 4bet and love your life vs a tilted villain.

+1 to rei. op: a few months ago we had some decent threads with discussion about preflop play in hunl, use the search function, read, and then come back with your questions.

How about comment on the hand also? Easy fold but of course hard to make when you are getting crushed by the deck. He would almost never try to bluff you vs such a big raise on the river, especially when you might be getting frustrated and more callhappy.

Check-raise on the turn. You want to have some bluffraises on the turn aswell since he will be barreling this card very often.

i have enoguh SD and floats in my range i can do this with.

c/r the turn with this is called merging i guess? i like the idea, but i think he wouldnt doublebarrel enough hands i beat. so it would be a bluff and for bluffing this hand is too good.

Why? All you need to do is make sure that on average, you will get back more than the extra $1.10 you put into the pot. After calling preflop, a $4.20 pot is created, meaning that if you are able to capture >26.2% of that pot postflop, then calling preflop was +EV relative to folding. The way to capture >26.2% of the pot with the weaker parts of your calling range, is not to start check/raising out of line.

87o is right on the borderline for oop defense on average vs 3x 75%+ opens at nl50 so probably a little clearer call at nl100.
