So, i think making 150k/year playing not higher then NL400 mostly (well ofc you can sit up to whatever limit for pure bumhunt) is completely doable for a pro.
Hey, here's stats from the fish (at least ~15% is against regs):

you Russians are weak pussies! You call that a 3-bet
I'll take you, your muscle neck bro, and your btych ass special forces friends all at once. You know I am an ex Marine right? Ppl always ask me why I am so cold and unemotional at the poker tables? Well the answer is quite simple, I've been through war. In war, you can't afford to wast time worrying or being upset, you need to focus on how to defeat the opposition, or at least how to survive. You lose focus for just a second and it can be game over for you. That is why I never waste brain power on things I cannot control. So not only do I have the physique of someone that has RawPower, but I also have inner RawPower. And last, I live the RawPower lifestyle. I own a Ford F-150 SVT Raptor, a Hummer, a motorcycle, a 4 wheeler, and a ton of guns. Did I mention I am an ex Marine? Oh yea, and I 3-bet over 30%.

Hoorah!!!!

lol

basically my noob math question was:

if u bet 5$ into 10$ pot w/ 2 overs and the guy shoves for 15$ on a drawy board, do u call or not? (strictly from a mathematical pov, assuming an unknown opponent)

yes, you need 25% equity and you have just under but gamb0000l. thats if you think he has a pair obviously

well actually probably not. if its a drawy board he could have backdoors or some of your outs covered or whatever. if you think all your overpair outs are good though you can call

edit: sigh forgot to mention thats on the flop not turn. i suggest taking these questions to the theory forum?

Actually if you look at a hand like AK on 256 and the opponent have 78s so Openender + flush draw, we still have 30% equity.
So from a matemathical point of view you usually need less equity if you expect him to jam with draws, than if he have a pair.

Yeah obv, I'm just making the point that on a drawy board there's more likelihood he can have a pair but also have some of your outs tainted bla bla bla. Even then it was just more of a disclaimer since the guy didn't even ask what hands we can call against, just a jam on a 'drawy board'. I mean this isn't a remotely interesting discussion, odds + stove ftw?

Re: *******HU CASH Regs thread*******

which brings us to:

obv we can bet to commit ourselfs w/ 10$ into 10$ pot and have an mathematically "easy" call for the rest of 5$ but this just aint gonna cut it...

if the cbet its not profitable then the whole line becomes bad, amirite? ie if he doest folds more than 33% when we cbet 5 into 10, then the line is -EV.

sry for the theory bullshiet injection into this otherwise beautiful raw power thread

Ye you could say that doing things that are -EV is bad, that's usually the way to think about things in poker.
That's probably too simplified though since you can't just focus on one street in a vacuum, you have to look at the whole picture.

Re: *******HU CASH Regs thread*******

Hey guys,

Im looking to save up and move to Whistler for the winter/spring, need to save up around 10k USD. I have a job but am hoping to save up the majority playing HUNL. I can only afford a small deposit atm but I have a winning track record and Im confident i can beat NL50 and grind up a roll.

My only problem is i have no concept of winrates and how much I could expect to make in between now and January. Not only would knowing a ballpark figure help me plan financially, but it was also help me manage my sessions and expectations better.

So could someone tell me how much can I expect to earn playing NL50 and, eventually when i have around 2.5k, nl100? I will be playing around 3-5 hours a day, almost everyday.

I know it varies but a ball park figure for prospective earnings from now to Jan from grinders at these stakes would be so helpful, and give me a load of motivation.

Thanks

i guess im not sure exactly why i post strat but that at least has something to do with it. i suppose i just enjoy thinking about the game and getting my thoughts out too.
the first line - This is how I feel about games where I'm learning and am actually taking information from others.

the latter - I've always felt it had to do with the ego and people needing to feel important.
