IIRC the order to do these is BOMDAS - bracket, power of, multiplication, division, addition, subtraction. So its 2.

ha i jsut read some of the the thread, so the asnwer is 288. mind = a little blown

wtf? Multiplication and divison are on a the same level aswell as addition and subtraction, so you do the bracket and you have:

48/2*(12) and then proceed from the left so 24*12=288... lolz

Multiplication and division are the same rank in the order of operations, you just do whatever comes first from left to right, same for addition/subtraction.
