I thought the Ignition update would be good to weed out the bumhunters, but it's really killed the hu action

Actually no. Some of the changes Ignition has made in the past have been great for HU, like their decision to go to anonymous tables. I never said the site wanted to weed out the bumhunters lol.

All I said was I initially thought this update would be good for the HU environment, but it wasn't. I think recs are less likely to play HU now because of how they have to select it in the lobby.

maybe we should try giving Party a little push so they would implement fastfold hu? I really believe that it is the best possible format for hu, and with Stars getting worse and worse would be nice if we could play it somewhere else. My post:

Hey Party, I'm happy to see you growing and I have a quick question - any chance you might be considering implementing some version of fast-fold heads-up tables? It's the format that I've been playing for years now and with a downfall of Stars, looks like there may be no place to play anywhere.

Now, I understand that sites are generally opposed to investing in heads-up cash formats, because of all the bumhunting, however this is not the case for fast-fold hu. The format forces regs to battle each other a lot, and one recreational entry can usually "feed" up to 4-8 regs entries, not to mention that regs are still gonna look for edges in games with no spot, due to ego nature of hu.

Another argument for implementing the format is that it is highly entertaining for recreational players - it provides a lot of action and doesn't punish very loose preflop play. From my experience, the vast majority of losing players in fast-fold hu games are playing them many times a week, often very long sessions. While it is true that in bb/100 recs' loserates will be bigger, they are also getting to play way more (you can essentially play every single hands in hu without making a huge mistake), which might explain the high return rate.

Also, with std deviation in hu being much higher than in 6max, recs are way more likely to go on a big upswing from time to time, which is very unlikely to happen in 6max (same arguments goes for PLO).

I believe that with some marketing the format can be very profitable for both players and the site, hell, even with exactly 0 marketing and being excluded from all their promos, nl50 and nl100 hu zoom run 24/7 on Stars, and nl200 and nl500 run a lot, even after Stars tripled the rake there, making it VERY hard to profit.

Please let me know if you find that reasoning compelling.

what is the deal with HU at party? seems like there is tons of players from really odd countries playing a really similar style

they are absolutely terrible and will quit after 20-30 hands max

i've tried to chat to quite a few of them but not ONE of them has replied... the players in question seem to sit from all stakes between 1/2-5/10

Sardonic remark or not? Is it possible to get action from non-bots on other sites?

Hey guys, is 30k hands/month considered low or standard for grinding? Also what about 10bb/100 @ 50nl (rakeback not included)?

if youre playing regs more than fish then its kinda pussy. if you're bumhunting then its ok, you can do more but its ok.

winrate is w/e...its a decent winrate but you can easily improve, if the winrate is mostly vs regs then wp you are solid.
