reg sits you, plays ~5 hands raises at every opportunity, sits out, asks for 4 tables, you decline he leaves.
I wouldnt mind if they played the first few hands normally, but they are obviously just trying to grim/get you annoyed enough to quit other action.
Wondered what other players thoughts on this were. It is essentially just a HnR, because them staying is dependent on you accepting a challenge which they didnt state before they sat.
sup hu peoples?
gonna be getting back into the swing of things and grinding a bunch over next few months. does anyone know what the deal is w/ the coaching forum also? i want to start coaching again since it's really helpful to me to sharpen my skills and gonna charge like 1/2 what i used to. can i make a thread there? does anyone know what the deal is?
I usually sit at one table and if they play then ask for more. Its just less work than sitting at 4 of every1s table at one time and seeing if they play, when they dont 99% of the time.
yeah thats what I do, but I dont play HNR style before I ask.
But im talking specifically about regs that play their first few hands like they have no fold button, then when they're up like 15bb or so after like 6 hands, they insta sit out and say 4tables.
A small but frequent example: reg raises his button, 3b my button, sat out and requested 4 tables, then left 4bb up.
There is a big diff. its infuriating enough for me to quit better action, just to play them. luckily im not that proud, so I tend not to.
I doubt people who are really keen and willing to play 4 tables, are playing maniac style just to grim you of a few bucks knowing you'll decline 4 tables. They might just be lying and won't actually play 4 tables if you accept, and they use it as dumb cover for their grimming, I dunno.
Maybe they're trying to tilt you into a grudge match you'd normally never take? Seems it would work a decent % of the time, plus you'd start the match already slightly tilted...
They play a hnr style over a few hands ensuring they're up before they sit out, then the only option you have to continue vs them is over 4 tables, which isnt always possible, so they snap leave.
For a classless player it would be a pretty good spot to coax weaker regs into a game.
lots just do it to try scare you off a good table, act mr cocky asking for more tables and behaving like a douche when in fact they got no plans at all to play you, just running the naked bluff for the Ax table on like entraction or Ipoker by playing a few hands aggressively, and the notorious 2x or 2.5x obv to really signal "im a reg", (ye obv most of us do the 2x and so) but if they were out there to tilt one to play more tables or behave like a drooler 3x'ing or limping a bunch of buttons would be a good start.

I just put in my first 50 HEM hour cash week ever. 16,000 hands. I have been playing for a living for 5 years, though I was 50% MTTs before BF. Kinda shows how lazy I have been though. How many HEM/PT hours/week or hands do you full time grinders shoot for?
Which training site has better HU vids for last 12 months? Haven't watched any in a long time.
Put in order of choice, please:
-Cardrunners
-Bluefire
-DC
-Leggo
Thanks.

Let's assume that we KNOW FOR FACT that he is bluffing exactly 45%, so our call brings us profit by margin of 3%. Is my calculation in $ correct: $38.544
$192.8 + $546 + $546 = $1284.8
1% = $12.848, so 3% = $38.544
2) IRL we are not Nostradamuses, but let's assume that villain's bluffing frequency is between 40% and 45%. Would the call be correct? If we are correct, we will make 0.5% profit = $6.424 in the long run (disregard rake). Does this worth it at all, given variance/bloated pot with overbet. Now let's get to reality, we can be wrong in our estimations IRL - how much this mistake could cost us in the long run? also to note, if he will show us BETTER hand over 50% of the time and having a good run, we will not have extra-advantage of our call for information, but i guess it balances by the factor, that villain will see that we are completely capable of making huge hero call.
So if it is a mistake to make a call under those circumstances, at what % margin it becomes somewhat a call.
Cheers!
Wow, can't believe HNR crap is beeing discussed again, but not a single advise on any of this. Really? I thought this suppose to be good POKER studying thread, not another dumb sht.
