dont really agree with this. we get to pick off bluffs on clubs pretty frequently so i dont think protection is vimportant there, he prob leads most 1club hands on turn

i agree with what you are saying but where i differ is in expecting him to lead most 1 club hands on turn. This is readless though, obv if we know villain is somewhat passive we should bet and if he has been leading a ton of turns checking is fine. I'd also expect a villain who is leading most 1club hands to lead air pretty often as well anyway so i dont expect there to be that many bluffs for us to pick off on river.

Nahhh, he'd just busted main event so I thought best not to. I wouldve loved to go do some sucking up to durrrr but the game was quite literally the best lineup of any live cash game I've ever played (and Ive played 1/1)

Poker sites make money for every hand dealt... Regs play more hands then fish, but regs also will move sites based on where they can get rakeback.

Also, the sites themselves don't give out rakeback, the affiliates usually do... Affiliates get tiered payments for bringing more rake to sites and can often get "CPA / One Time" payments for low volume players over "25% of the player rake". Basically the CPA payments balloon like crazy when you have more rake so affiliates started giving rakeback to huge horses and then signing college kids and getting paid $250 a pop instead of the standard $50

why do stores have preferred cards? casinos have players cards? credit cards have cash back? manufacturers have mail in rebates? its competition dude, but also slightly more efficient than just directly discounting their prices.
