i dont 3-bet KJs but people in the forums told me that i should. also i fold to this 4-bet it is too big to continue. is that bad?

given the odds you cant really fold flop and turn plays itself.

edit: saw you had a FD on the flop. i propably would raise smallish and call a shove right on the flop, you are ahead of a lot of draws etc

So should I be calling his 4-bet pre, or folding preflop?

What would you be raising the flop to? Would Check jamming the flop be ok?

Was check-jamming the Turn a mistake?

i would c/jam the turn myself propably. i think the big 4-bet pre shouldnt be called play 5-bet or fold. i would try to get the money in on the flop and c/jam the turn if i didnt.

Cheers, Maybe folding pre would have been the best decision. Anyone else have any thought on this?

I think perhaps your 3bet sizing is a bit small at these stack sizes. Secondly your 3bet% and his 4bet% would be helpful.

Not that I like arriving at conclusions this way, but given the fact he shows up with 57o I'm going to assume the factors are present that allow us to call KJss.

I'm not strong on math but off the top of my head I think we can just go ahead and c/j flop. I think Ike had an almost identical hand against willy in their first battle and he played it as c/j much deeper.

Granted the dynamics may be much different but I think some of the logic still applies.

There are posters out there who can do the math on this so hopefully they can shed some certainty on the matter.

yeah a flop x/r will be at the very least like (2/3)*pot EV or something

KJ plays very poorly oop in 4 bet pots with pretty much unknown opponent, so don't call the 4bet

if he is going to be 4 betting very often then polarise your 3bet range so that you dont end up in situations such as this

3bet higher - to 8 - 10bb
Fold to a 4bet - unless his 4bet range is out of control - than you can call or reshove

EZ check raise on that flop. Calling is bad as your equity gets cut in half if you miss.

Turn check raise doesn't accomplish much. It folds out some hands with equity but more than likely he will have a hand that he can call with - pocket pairs 7s or higher - and once he puts in half his stack it's unlikely he will be folding much. Maybe he folds total garbage but you are already beating that. I highly doubt he folds a pair after putting in half his stack.

If I call the flop - I guess I call turn and x/f river. Not getting great odds on turn but I feel if we hit the heart we can get the rest of his stack.

But if i'm calling that 4bet pre i'm x/r flop and shoving turn if called.

3bet bigger size, esp at 50nl. call 4bet. x/c or x/r flop is fine, likely x/c turn, u could also lead some rivers heart rivers--it'll prob play best here.

stakes in the thread title, por favor.
