I'm about to embark on a 1000 HUSNG challenge. I've been crunching some numbers on rake at 888 vs Pokerstars and the difference is disgusting. That being said, the player pool on 888, at least in my limited sample size at $30 and below, is significantly weaker.

I'm pretty new to HUSNG so I'm not really sure how big the edges are. I know its likely unrealistic to win even 60% long term, but is a weaker player pool likely to provide enough edge to make up for a difference in break even win rate of ~2% at $10/$15 games and 0.67% at $50/$60 games? Smaller gap at turbo/hyper structures but still significant.

I am planning to spread my games between all 3 structures and practice at $5/$7 games before climbing to my last 100 games at $50/$60 games if I'm doing well or last 300+ at $30 games if not so much. Do people agree with me that 888 player pool is significantly weaker? My sample size is very small (~20 games). I'm a slight loser so far on both sites but fully expect to change that once I study more and get a bunch of games under my belt. I was hoping to grind my deposit bonus at 888 between these SNGs and some cash play but am now thinking I might want to keep the HUSNGs at stars. Advice?

Rake at 888
- At $1.00 - $10.00 reg speed 9.89% , turbos/hyper go from 8.70% ($1 Hyper/Turbo) - 4.17% ($10 Hyper).

- At $20 - $100 reg speed 7.53% - 4.99%, turbo 4.99% - 3.90%, and hyper 4.06% - 2.99%.


Rake at Pokerstars
- At $1.50 - $15.00 reg speed 8.70% - 4.97%, turbo 7.14% - 4.24%, and hyper 4.17% - 2.11%.

- At $30 - $100 reg speed 5.01% - 4.50%, turbo 4.24% - 3.82%, and hyper 2.15% - 1.92%.


Breakeven WR at $10 reg speed on 888 is 54.95% vs BE WR of 52.47% at $7/$15 reg speed on stars. Hypers at same buy-in need 52.08% on 888 vs 51.06% on stars.

BE WRs at $50 games on 888 are 52.99%, 52.36% and 51.98% at the respective speeds. Stars BE WRs at $60 games are 52.37%, 52.02% and 51.07% respectively.
