V is unknown. Got Fullstacked, no real history, no limp/3bet-pot history.
V plays a "unique" style which includes some understanding from poker(but misses very important concepts - basically i believe its impossible to beat the game with such a style - I would describe him afterwards[we played after this hand 50-80 hands] as fishy nitty who cant extract value from hands and chases too much)
________
Was playing November very solid and couldnt play much but I was first time really happy with my play and decisions over a large sample size. No Tilt. Maybe only B-Game times. Therefore would need help on this:
SB: 87.74 BB [V was fullstacked at beginning]
Hero (BB): 143.76 BB
SB posts SB 0.5 BB,
Hero posts BB 1 BB
Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has 9
9
SB raises to 3 BB,
Hero raises to 13 BB,
SB calls 10 BB
Flop: (26 BB, 2 players) K
7
4
Hero bets 13 BB,
SB raises to 74.74 BB and is all-in,
Hero calls 61.74 BB
Turn: (175.48 BB, 2 players) Q
River: (175.48 BB, 2 players) 4
I tanked a lot, and called with those reasons:
1) Experience that people on that flop unlikely jam TP here. I saw/see a lot of times 56/A7s/78/total air spew?
2) I expect when he does that for value to see only 44/77/K7s/K4s but never strong Kx Hands. AK should 4bet. KQ/KQs could play like that(but from my view I just don see jam on that flops those hands)
- and biggest questions: with what reason would he ever jam here Kx? What can call what doesnt beat Kx?
and then maybe the biggest mistake occured?
3) I finally called and was/am sure thats not a lot of times good but at least breakeven-ish in the longrun. And finally the reason was, that I got really good sessions today and yesterday and that I am for November in good green numbers.
So my questions:
- Can I call here sometimes without big read(only knowing V is fishy, total fish..)?
- Can I call here a lot of more times when there is a flushdraw OTF?
- Does I even have to consider to call here? - If I look it now from a range perspective(this is a thought that I got now in writing - Do I even need to call here ever? I will have 77/KK/AK/AA/KQ/KJsometimes/ as top of my range OTF - so why should I call?
Is it the right Headsup approach in those spots:
- call in "strange" spots like this and afterwards took a note and hope that fish isnt hit and run
- fold in "strange" spots like this and afterwards took a note and call next time same happens in "strange" spots?
I know thats a very long post. But I would be really thankful if someone could share thoughts and give some help.
Thanks
