heads up what players are most profitable to face?

I tend to make the most profit on aggressive players. I think the worst is the nitty tight players. And whether there passive or aggressive post flop doesn't really matter. They just fold to many hands to make a profit. I played one guy other night played 20% of hands. Ya i made a profit but it wasn't much and it wasn't worth the time. Even loose passive doesn't bother me. I never understood playing extremely tight heads up. by the time they have a hand they better hope for cooler spot cause why even bother calling there raise when they do have a hand? I don't know how that style is profitable. I guess it works for them.

Re: heads up what players are most profitable to face?

My favorites and i think the most profitable to play against are the constant hero callers that just can't ever fold a bluffcatcher like so:

hands from last session

Merge $400.00 No Limit Hold'em - 2 players
DeucesCracked Poker Videos Hand History Converter

Hero (BB): $1307.00
BTN/SB: $886.50

Pre Flop: ($6.00) Hero is BB with K K
BTN/SB raises to $10, Hero raises to $40, BTN/SB calls $30

Flop: ($80.00) 3 4 8 (2 players)
Hero bets $52.00, BTN/SB calls $52

Turn: ($184.00) K (2 players)
Hero bets $123.00, BTN/SB calls $123

River: ($430.00) Q (2 players)
Hero bets $1092.00, BTN/SB calls $671.50 all in

Final Pot: $1773.00
Hero shows K K
BTN/SB shows 8 5
Hero wins $1352.00
Hero wins $420.50
(Rake: $0.50)

Merge $400.00 No Limit Hold'em - 2 players
DeucesCracked Poker Videos Hand History Converter

Hero (BB): $888.75
BTN/SB: $723.75

Pre Flop: ($6.00) Hero is BB with 8 8
BTN/SB raises to $10, Hero raises to $40, BTN/SB calls $30

Flop: ($80.00) 9 2 3 (2 players)
Hero bets $52.00, BTN/SB calls $52

Turn: ($184.00) 7 (2 players)
Hero bets $125.00, BTN/SB calls $125

River: ($434.00) 2 (2 players)
Hero bets $671.75, BTN/SB calls $506.75 all in

Final Pot: $1447.50
Hero shows 8 8

Hero wins $1282.00
Hero wins $165.00
(Rake: $0.50)

The people that do this game select pretty hard and make money off recreational players that spew a lot. In the interests of getting better, improving your game and playing poker it doesn't make much sense to play like they do

Re: heads up what players are most profitable to face?

This one nit i played earlier said i was terrible for jamming over the top of his raise on the river with a full house. he had 3 of a kind and loss. Then says what if i had a better full house. I raised you on the river that means i have a nutted hand your full house can be beat by better full house. I flop set turn boat he got a better one so be it. Thats a super nit if he thinks jamming a boat is bad. he should see your 8s you jammed with he would fall of his chair. I don't think people realize its very hard to have big hands heads up. And some people just only jam with the nuts but you see here you get some solid value with just a pair and can stack people off. One of my fav moves is to over bet jam the river with over pair when all the draws look like they missed and i know they will snap off with middle or top pair.

yeah early in the match he called an overbet jam when i had a busted straight draw with like fourth pair so i just adjusted, rode the variance train and just bet/bet/all in with 2nd pair or better

I think passive calling stations are the best to play. Soon as they raise just fold. Easy game.
