Hand Thought Process - Plz Help

During HU games....every hand do you put your opponent on a range of hands or do you just judge from their play whether you have them beat or if you can get them off their hand or if they have it? I find it hard to create a range of hands for the villian because you don't get much info on position like you do in 6 max or full and there is a lot more bluffing going on.....Will improving my HU game improve my 6 max and full ring games....any good sites or links for HU play? thanks.

This problem is solved by playing around with an equity calculator. I recommend equilab to everyone because it's free and has lots of cool features.
The more you work with it, the better you get at visualizing ranges.
