this is the worst hu format ever invented, do not play those.. in addition to the endless boredom you also open yourself up to people who strategically slow the game down in order to make you tilt and spew it off just to end the pain.

samooth mentioned to play HUSNG but i don't really like the Hu Sng format quick blind increase sort of shove fest when getting low in blinds
husng's should be more profitable than hu cash at the micros because the rake at cash is way to high, assuming your edge is the same at both games. however, the fact that you state you feel it's sort of a shove fest makes me think that it may not - people make as many (if not more) mistakes at 25bb and <10bb stacks as @100bb, so there's money to be made. you still need to put some work in to beat these games (ie work on short stacks). if will def benefit your overall poker game and understanding, but i fully understand if you just don't like it and refrain from it.

in which case you can chose to either grind micro hu and try to run rly good to beat the rake and build up a br, or simply try to get a 1k br by playing other games (no sports betting!) or working in real life. then play nl50, where the rake is still ridic high, but should be manageable given that the average field is easy.

How exactly does a heads up sit and go work? Let's say there's a prize pool of $10. Is it just a 1 on 1 game and whoever runs out of chips first loses with the other player winning the $10? Or does the tournament continue where the winner of one table then plays the winner of another table and after several wins he wins the $10 prize?

I'm confused by sng's. I know how 6 and 9 max sngs work but not heads up. I don't understand whether it's simply one table and one game or a series of tables like a tournament elimination style.

Thanks

It's usually a single table tournament, 2 people heads up, winner takes all.
There are also 4 man, 2 table heads up sngs. The difference between a sit n go and an MTT being a sit n go starts when the table fills up and an MTT is scheduled.

Question 1 : Are regs actually multi tabling HU Zoom ? How many tables are typical for HU zoom regs ?

Question 2 : I am a winning HU player looking to get into HU Zoom and soon I will have the BR (20K) and Time to put in significant volume at 200/400 NL.
How many hands per per/hr are the serious HU zoom players getting ?

Also Question 3 is the rake structure any different from regular HU tables on stars ?

Yes, people mulitable. 50nl-100nl runs almost all the time, and 200nl runs often. Above that, not so often. 2-4 tables is normal i suppose. If you 4table, you'll probably get around 800 hand per hour, depending on how fast you play. Think rake is the same.

Thanks ...

Ok so fair to assume you get around 200 hands/hour per table at HU zoom ?

Is it possible to log 40hrs a week 4 tabling 200nl (as in do the games run enough for that to be possible ) ?
Also what kinda volume is possible at 500nl ?

Thinking about trying to reach SNE by playing a mix of 100/200nl Zoom ... sound crazy ?

40 hours a week 4 tabling 200 zoom with a mix of 500/100 seems ambitious on a 20k roll.

For most of the time you'll be able to 4 table zoom 200, depending on how advanced you are, some of the player pools you'll be faced with could be questionable.

SNE is certainly a long shot grinding 200/100(More of the later could be deemed impossible), but If you manage to fit in solid volume at 500nl it should be achievable(I don't play the 500 pool, but bare in mind that if you're looking to play it consistently, your player pool will largely consist of a small group of tough players)

Yes just did some calcs and it looks tight .
4 tabling 200nl for 60hrs per week getting 800 hands per/hr would give me 90,535 VPP's per month.

The year (2015)might be better spent grinding 100nl trying to improve and move up to 500nl by the end of it.
Then take my SNE shot the next year (2016).

On pokerstars grinding 50NL with a 1k BR,
Can you build it to 5k ?
Once you hit 2k what should you be playing ?

Of course you can, whether or not you can no one but you knows. I'd stay at 50NL until I had $2,500 and take a 5 buy in shot at 100NL. If you lose 5 buy ins drop back to 50NL rinse and repeat until you have $6K and then do the same thing for 200NL. I always add buy ins as I go up because the levels get harder.

So I have bought Card runners ev twice before and I just can't get in to it, seems way to complicated for someone with my brain. Can anyone recommend me some software that is fairly easy to use which will allow me to:
-Save ranges.
-Count combos
-see how ranges hit different boards
-all the usual equity calculations.

Thanks

Some of the software is more user friendly than others, but you're going to have to sit down and learn how to use all of them to actually get much out of using them. My suggestion is to pay for a coach that is proficient in using w/e program you want to use.
