Only have $800 bank roll but on Stars and Ftp the minimum level is nl50. Is buying in for 50bbs a feasible option bankroll wise? If not should I try to apply for a stake for a more stable BR? Is nl cash <nl50 beatable rake wise and on what sites do they even offer those levels?
hi everyone, i want to try myself in hu cash, and here is the question:
what is the best way to start? i don't have enogh br to start from nl50 or something like that, so i'll try to start from the micros. Is it a stupid way? Maybe the best way is to grind hu sngs and then go to hu cash? I really don't know. Pls give advice and recomend sites where to play best of all (min rake, bonuses, weak fields etc) and what br should i have to play diff limits.
Also, where can i find good vods? can u recomend an authors? And the last where can i find links to read good hu cash poker blogs.
Big thanks everyone who read till this moment and sorry for some mistakes and maybe strange sentenses-English isn't my native language. (so it's hard to deal with the forum)
czechvengeance, ty.
oh, that's not cool. hate hu sngs can you name the reasons not to play hu cash on micros? btw, 1k it's not enough to play nl50 i think. so, can u answer on the other questions? about sites and blogs.
well the rake is gonna screw you over... i guess you can give it a shot, see how it goes. I never played that low.
Dunno about blogs, dont follow anyone
I'm at a point in my poker education where I think the level of my turn and river play has fallen way behind my preflop and flop play. I think this is because I come from a tournament background. I'm looking to drastically improve my play on these 2 streets as I think that will help me balance out my overall level of play.
What is the best training site or books for improving your game on these 2 streets? Please help if you can.
cake/lock 20nl+
merge has 25nl+
ipoker has 2nl+
stars 50nl+
ongame 4nl+
and make sure and sign up for rakeback somewhere
could check this site too http://www.pokerscout.com/. or DL clients and have a look at action. a friend of mine plays 50nl and 20nl on cake network (dont sign up directly on cake btw--intertops is a great skin) and he gets pretty steady action, although he playing from the US so his options are limited of course.
Hey guys, I'm a HUSNG reg, just a couple of basic rake questions and stuff.
I'm playing on ipoker (and sites that rake the equivilant). I was wondering if it will be profitable pre RB to play regs at 50nl and 100nl, and what sort of BB/100's that are achievable with the rake, both vs fish and regs.
Also, lots of fish sit with ~30bb vs me. I am confident in my shorter stack game from HUSNG's, but with the high rake is it worth playing shortstackers at these stakes?

Thanks a bunch.
Yea it is very beatable, and make sure you play all the guys who sit with 30bb+ they are usually horrible and a ton of your profit can come from them. Just dont sit the 20bb guys, its to much of a shove fest double up and run type of thing.
Looking to get a start in HUNL and hoping I can find some information on the best way to go about it here.
My background in poker is MTTs which I have played for a couple of years with some success so I have an idea about the basics in poker.
Basically I'm looking to start from the ground up with maybe a $250-500 deposit. So my first question is, would there be a stake I could play and beat successfully past the rake etc with this kind of starting balance? If so, which sites should I be looking at?
Second question, outside 2+2 forums, what are the best resources available for learning the game at present? So far I've been browsing some of the HUNL content on DC from WiltOnTilt etc.
How important would you rate the use of HUDs? Is it something I should just get into the habit of using while my HU game is in its infancy?
Also, what are the typical bb/100 and corresponding hourly rates achievable at the micro-lower limits? I understand that may be quite vague given playing styles, number of tables and competency etc.
id suggest reading through this thread--work your way back, a lot of your Q have been answered, and u might find other info useful
-def invest in tracking system/using a hud.
-DC amd runitonce seem to be most popular vid sites atm for hu.
-you can play something like 120-150 hands and hour. take ur winrate per 100 and go from there. depends on how good u are, bumhunting, stakes ur playing as to ur winrate.
Just after some suggestions on database reviews/help/coaching associated with this.
I'm currently analysing my small database (7kish hands) and have noticed big consistent leaks, and just want help on looking for leaks/ adjusting to these leaks.
NLHE HU cash isn't my main game but I sometimes play HU SnGs and just recently some HU cash but I seem to fold to 3bets far too much, I've tried 4-betting more but that only fills a small gap, I rarely ever cold call a 3bet, can anyone gimme some general advice on this? sorry for being a bit vague.
