Re: Campaign for rematch button on PokerStars

I wonder if it would make a difference if players started emailing them with an ultimatum. You know, a "if you don't provide us with a rematch button I'm going to transfer my funds elsewhere" sort of thing. No need to be impolite about it or anything, just let them know how important it is. This may be a little much though, so just throwing the idea around. Tbh, I like pokerstars a lot but eventually I may move to FT if they don't offer rematches - especially if I move up enough where it really matters (I'm guessing the 100s and above)

If you seriously will move to FTP full time or play SOME of your games there, let them know.

No reason to lie, however, there should be plenty of demand out there already for this.

Re: Campaign for rematch button on PokerStars

So why won't they add it? Two possibilities:

1. They have an negative attitude towards it
2. They absolutely compleately and totaly give a hekk about it and ignores it.

It's hard to understand a good reason why they should have a negative attitude against it. It will for sure lead to more games, and faster games, which obviously is good seen from pokerstars point of view.

The only possible argument against re-match button that I can come up with is a possibility that fish will get broke faster, and maybe quit poker because they get beaten up so badly that they dont find it fun anymore. Thats a very speculative argument obv.

omg rematch button would be so sick...pstars is reluctant to change imo; i mean they are the biggest, best run site but still it seems like it takes a while for them to make additions/changes to gameplay

Re: Campaign for rematch button on PokerStars

I'm not sure I really like the rematch button. I wanted one at FT badly, and it was great at first, but now not so much. At the 100+ levels, everyone fishes around for an opponent that they like (which is never me) so people don't open-sit as much. The bad players end up playing bad players more often than if they have to open-sit or play whoever's waiting. So you have fewer options if you want to game select, and if you're willing to open-sit yourself, bad players won't sit as often (b/c they're occupied), and when they do, they normally quit you when they don't win.

Re: Campaign for rematch button on PokerStars

So, short update on the rematch button:

When I was talking to Stars about 2x vpp alternatives, I was told a rematch button would be very likely by year's end. No promises, but something like "it's very likely that it will be done by the end of the year."

More emails could not hurt, Stars showed us during the 2x month that they will respond to the players when they voice concern, so if you want a rematch button, let them know.

Also, try to be courteous, at least somewhat. Spamming and harassing them isn't going to help and isn't what this thread is intended to do. I don't know if anybody has done this, I'm just saying that is not what I/we want to accomplish here.

Yes. I think rematch button should be for $55s and lower only, since HS is filled with regs and games will dry up way too quickly with a rematch button.

I do not see why it will take them till the end of the year to integrate this into their software, especially with this much demand.

I'd throw the 110s in there as well if that were the case.

Lots of randoms in the 110s, especially from lower stakes, not quite the case in the 200 or 220s.
