Hi, both villains unknown in this hand. This hand went a bit crazy so I've put in my street by street thought process, please feel free to give me advice on any point of the hand. (have a feeling I may have butchered it lol)

Poker Stars, $0.05/$0.10 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 8 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite. View Hand #17398461

    MP1: $10 (100 bb)
    MP2: $10.15 (101.5 bb)
    MP3: $3.40 (34 bb)
    Hero (CO): $10.75 (107.5 bb)
    BTN: $6.02 (60.2 bb)
    SB: $4.15 (41.5 bb)
    BB: $7.88 (78.8 bb)
    UTG+2: $7.27 (72.7 bb)

Preflop: Hero is CO with Q J
4 folds, Hero raises to $0.30, BTN folds, SB calls $0.25, BB raises to $0.70, Hero calls $0.40, SB calls $0.40

So when he barely min raises pre I call on the button as I'm sure sb will call so I'm priced in to see a flop.

    Flop: ($2.10) 5 9 T (3 players)
SB checks, BB bets $0.70, Hero raises to $2.50, SB calls $2.50, BB raises to $4.30, Hero calls $1.80, SB calls $0.95 and is all-in

I flop the nut straight draw and raise in position to start building a big pot, when BB reraises small I put him on a big pair but by this point I basically have to call due to sb's shove and because I'm getting better than the odds I need.

    Turn: ($14.15) A (3 players, 1 is all-in)
BB bets $2.88 and is all-in, Hero calls $2.88

Obvious call because the board hasn't paired, the flush draw hasn't come in and I'm getting better than 5-1.

    River: ($19.91) 6 (3 players, 2 are all-in)

    Spoiler:
    Results: $19.91 pot ($0.90 rake)
    Final Board: 5 9 T A 6
Hero mucked Q J and lost (-$7.88 net)
    SB showed 8 A and won $11.89 ($7.74 net)
    BB showed K K and won $7.12 (-$0.76 net)

you have only 6 nut outs and down to 4 ott
    i prefer calling flop
as played you have to call turn

i don't like raise with any sort of straight draw on two tone flop. not because we have less nut outs but the fact that a lot of made hands will put you on drawing hand and 3bet you, which is awful. Besides, if you flat and turn card completes a flush, you have two bullets to bluff your opponents

Yeah I think calling flop would have been much better because we were getting good odds.

This was my first session at 10nl so I was just a bit fuzzy on calculating sizing, ended up misplaying a few hands due to this.

Yeah flatting flop is better. You want to keep the pot fairly small because you only have 6 clean outs. if you do raise the flop, just shove over BB's reraise - he has so little left behind, you might as well put the rest in when you have more equity, as you can't fold the turn anyway.

Isnt just better to 4bet or fold ? Only for me calling pre seems bad?

I think I made a mess of this hand basically for three reasons.

    - overvalued my straight draw on a two tone flop
    - didn't think through bb villains range properly
    - didn't consider sb when I raised

Being my first session at 10nl I was just a bit frazzled and my thought process wasn't really working great. We've got great odds to call the flop but I just wasn't familiar with the new numbers...

pre should be a fold readless here and flop should be a call. vs an unknown cbetting 3 way, you can't ever expect a semi bluff to accomplish much, his range is too tight when you have no idea how he plays. This is a compounding mistake from simply not folding pre, you probably hesitated to call, then made a spazzy flop play when you saw you had atleast a bit of hope of actually winning the hand, so you overplayed it to try and fix your mistakes!

Yep and I can't even remember the last time I did something like this, I think I was on some type of "lets do well at the new limit" kind of tilt.
