Re: AQss facing 4bet 160BB deep

Hrmmm yeah then I think 5 betting here is okay. I'd probably run some 5 bet bluffs also against this guy because when someone is 4 betting while so deep they are generally polarized to like AK and JJ+ (3% of hands) so he should be very air heavy here. I mean if you have a 5 bet range of about 40% bluffs and 60% value hands (like AQ+ TT+) you could 5 bet him with about 8% of hands... and it will be ridiculously hard for him to counter that. BTW this is only when you're deep like this. Assuming you're 3 betting a reasonable amount - like 16% - that means you should be able to play back against his 4 bets half the time... and his 4 betting becomes a really bad strategy. Given the specific ranges I mentioned you might question why you're still 5 betting hands that are dominated against his continue range - and that is mostly for balance. You're taking advantage of one of his leaks in a pretty big way already and just from a game theory perspective you are going to profit here. If you start 5 betting more bluffs and less value hands then you open yourself up to getting shoved on as a bluff too often.

So i wondered if its profitable to play this hand OOP, or shipping is best against 14% 4bettor no matter that we are 160bb deep

Definitly true. There are only 4 hands which give you ultimate trouble. "AA,KK,QQ,AK" From there on its just coinflips or domination.

Shoving is definitly good here. Probably he calls you with a worse ace.
