Recently, I have taken my poker to the next level in terms of seriousness. Before Black Friday, I beat 10-25Nl full ring for ~2bb/100 over 1 million hands (mass tabling), so nothing huge. That's not an option with the current state so I'm focusing on playing heads up on ACR as it offers more fish (regs like the Beast tables) as well as good traffic.
The thing is, I'm currently down 7 buyins and I feel like it's at least
50% running bad. Typically full ring is a lot less swingy but is this typical?
Here's my graph
I know that headsup variance can be insane but how many hands does it take to show your true winrate? I truly am kinda lost when it comes to hands like these:
vs super maniac w/ 4 AF that was folding to any aggression
Like with this hand, I have to think if I'm even playing correctly here. Do I check? Bet bigger?
Are there any HU regs that can give me some pointers about variance or am I playing poorly or am I just way in over my head? What I would consider "playing well" from years ago might not be a winning strategy in today's game I'm starting to think.
