Advice on bigblind betting PF from the BB Advice on bigblind betting PF from the BB

The majority of the info I've found online in regards to raising PF are mostly from the BTN. But I've found little info on a good starting range for betting PF out of the BB. I realize you need to tighten up range wise but to what point?

The guidelines I've read for PF BTN raises are to stick to a range of 22+,
A2+, K2s+, K5o+, Q2s+, Q6o+, J2s+, J7o+ plus suited connectors and mid connectors.

I'm just starting to really learn HU strategy and have had little time to put in hours at the game so if there is any other advice I should know about I would grateful.

Thanks

You need to specify if you're talking about 3 bet or raising vs open limp

Two very different and equally complex topics

Fornat and stack depth will change things a lot too.
and, if youre thinking of 3 bet vs open raise we would need to know the raise size as well.

If you want to learn something about the heads-up game, keep it simple!

First,
The best hands are AA to 22 and AKs to 32o, so the range should be based on this! (I bet you will not be able to explain to me why JTs would have a better hand than in Q2o).

Second,
Now that you know the true value of the starting hands, so you have to decide how often you want to defend. If you want to defend more than 50% of the time, you can count how often defend with "air".

Third,
You decide what is the best way to play quality hands (that 50%), and what is the best way to play weak hands (the rest).

And fourthly,
Play the man!

This will definitely help your game!
Good luck!

The faster you will learn basics, the faster we will discuss the more interesting things.

One good trick: take two cards at home alone and think about what would you do with them, in the position, and the out of position. And most important, why?
