I have been playing full ring live and 6max online for about a year. I play 100nl online and up to 2/5 live. Recently a person in my home game scene has issued a heads up challenge to all takers. This guy is ass at full ring and plays nitty pre and is a station post.
I have played probably 100 heads up sit and goes online and a few hundred spin and goes as well as a little bit of online HU cash but even with my little experience, I feel I have to be a big favourite against this guy who doesn't grasp simple poker concepts.
My question is: are there any blanket tips for playing a fish heads up live. Without a HUD it's obviously more difficult to find his leaks and exploit but what are some common leaks I should look for?
I know this question is very vague so if it's unanswerable I apologise. Any tips would be excellent. Thanks.

HU fish generally fold way too much post flop, so being aggressive in position is key. But you said he was a station. If this is the case, widen your value range and bet bigger. If he's nitty pre raise 100% of buttons and c bet 100% of flops for half pot when you miss. Utilize value over bets in the right spots as well. Make sure they're not half ass over bets as well like 1.4x. It should be minimum 1.8x but increase that size in your head until you think his range becomes elastic.

convince him to play online. where are you going to play live hu? certain dangers come into that scenario if you take a lot of money off him.

Ok, I'll keep those things in mind. We're playing at his house with a mutual dealer. It is looking like this may fizzle though. Apparently I wasn't the only one to take this fish's challenge and he got crushed in the first one. I'm gonna keep trying to get him on the felt or preferably the virtual felt but my fish may have swam away.

If hes a fish in general or inexperienced in headsup I think hes likely to not give enough value to how much position really matters. Exploit him a LOT postflop, both in position and give him hell in 3bet pots when you hold playable hands oop. Your postflop game is probably vastly superior to his if you're as big a favourite as it seems. Goodluck!
