Definitely needs some reads in this spot. Has he c/r flops in 3 bet pots before especially dry ones? I mean as played its probably fine but you can definitely get owned a ton in this spot always playing it like this

No need to lie, you have a motto, don't fold a pair.

These hands aren't worth posting. It's a read-based play but you offer no reads so what are people supposed to tell you. As played it looks like stubborn spew to me especially with the 4 completing the straight draw but against some psychos I might call. Still, you're the best judge here

"As played it looks like a stubborn spew" u say.
Breakyneck thinks it a fine play.
I think i played it good.
How can it not be threadworthy if we all have different opinions about the hand?
You dont always need to have a solid read on ur opponent, i think my stats are enough for ppl to analyse the hand and give thoughts.

Meh I kinda agree its not really worth posting unless you gave a real good description of villain, stats not being enough. Its just one of those spots that we cant give a good answer with the info given. I dont think calling or folding is necessarily bad but early on Im still calling here. And yes you do need to have a solid read on your opponent to make this call

Re: 300NL 99 3bet pot, bluffcatching vs reg
i think the 4 is a pretty bad card to call on.
in a close situation, maybe call with a total blank and fold when it completes a straight/random 2 pair combo (from semibluffed small pairs on flop), which is a somewhat substantial part of his range.
