20NL 3-bet pot against weak-lag who 3-bet 20 %

3-bet pot against weak-lag who 3-bet 20 %. I just call his 3-bet to play in position against him. On the flop i never see him bet pot before, it felt a little weird just firing that one out, comments on every street is appriciated!! Can mention his very weak and folds almost anything against a c-bet on flop etc.

Pre is standard flop is standard turn is probably standard, that river bet isnt good though. Hes not folding Ax or Kx here and you have plenty of showdown equity to beat his mid pocket pair hands. Check river

Re: 20NL 3-bet pot against weak-lag who 3-bet 20 %

I never see this villain call down light. but maybe he could have fold hand like qq, qt, his check on river made me feel that he wasnt to happy about his hand. Since i called his flop bet i should in his mind represent a made hand with a or k. i think turn card was great cause that makes his range represent an A less likely. Still question is - would he fold a weak kx? I seen him play tpgk quite passive, just calling a street and then check down. But anyway i appreciate ur advice and will try ch river line next time.

It means your bet isn't a good valuebet because you get called by a better hand more often than the times you get called by a worse one, which is why it is better to check this river. Get it to showdown.

I don't see him calling the flop with QQ or QT and folding the river after u ck back turn. Definitely not betting this river to try to get him to fold with a showdown hand, you're not getting him to fold much once he calls this flop especially when you noted that he folds to most Cbets.
