Re: 100NL: Two pair on the river, fold?

the way you played your hand is looks like you are holding some weak pair hands like j8 -T8
or some draw hands like J9-T9-JT...! its less likely that anyone has a made hand on this boards when they checkraise, (thats why you should almost always check raise with your big made hands here). he either holding a weak top or medium pair with a weak kicker which all these hands are most likely pair and a draw. i cant see a flush draw will call you down all the way to the river, (i have to add that you kinda priced him in with your bet size on the turn specially when its at the beginning of the game). your check on the turn is so obvious that you scared of that flush card. i like the check if you know your opponent will bluff here a lot and value bets worst 2 pairs. but me personally i would shove the river because there are a lot of hands here that he would call the river bit which they are worst than our hands.

Re: 100NL: Two pair on the river, fold?

Id normally bet 25 on turn, and shove the river.

As played I c/f the river, and Im not sure which line is best.

Well played, river looks like either c/f or jam.. on this specific card I prefer c/f but it really sucks either way

Re: 100NL: Two pair on the river, fold?

If he is good, you should be perceived to C/F often enough for him to turn 7x and similar into bluff here. Unknown at NL100 means he is not good enough to make this factor heavy enough for us to C/C. He doesn't have any air in his range, either. Betting doesnt make any sense, unless he is spewtard station. If he is spewtard station, he has too many draws that hit this river in his range.

C/F

I feel no need to explain why its generally going to be pretty terrible to bet 36 of like $60 and fold to a shove.

He is quite well known here. Used to be pretty sick afaik, but not sure he plays much anymore. His opinion is for sure worth more than yours from my point of view. No disrespect, just saying.

Re: 100NL: Two pair on the river, fold?

The river decision doesn't seem to be the problem.

I think bet fold is the best option normally, but as played it isn't an option.

Therefore we look back at previous streets - Turn is fine. However the check raise on the flop just inflates the pot oop with bottom pair. Even with a high cbet average you shouldn't be making this CR oop.

If you flatted the flop, you could still check raise the turn for value and then the pot would be small enough to still bet fold.

As played i'm leaning towards a call most draws which come in on the river are just gonna standard value bet for around half pot a lot.
