[100NL] River CR spot?

Hand is played versus big winning reg on ipoker, seemed to be a solid hand reader capable of making big folds in big pots, OTR here i was considering CR jamming my hand, since he is not really repping much in the way of value hands apart from Aces Up.

Unsure how he plays TP+ facing a CR but from his general postflop aggression i would expect him to be the type to put pressure on (he had jammed weak top pairs in position in 3B pots facing turn barrels on wet boards)

Also i expect him to float here pretty light, i had CR'd him a few times when this hand came up. Thoughts on riv chkshuv please...

btw, he was playing 95% Stl, 40% BB, 30% 3B...

iPoker - $1 NL (2 max) - Holdem - 2 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

SB: $118.70
Hero (BB): $311.30

SB posts SB $0.50, Hero posts BB $1.00

Pre Flop: (pot: $1.50) Hero has J T

SB raises to $2.00, Hero calls $1.00

Flop: ($4.00, 2 players) 9 8 4
Hero checks, SB bets $3.00, Hero raises to $8.00, SB calls $5.00

Turn: ($20.00, 2 players) 5
Hero bets $12.00, SB calls $12.00

River: ($44.00, 2 players) A
Hero checks, SB bets $26.00, Pots $70, villain has $70 behind... Chkshuv???

I don't like it. It's definitely not a spot in which I would checkshove as my standard like you seem to be asking. I might, if stats, reads and gameflow would dictate for it though. This is not a good question from a HH discussion point of view.

if hes valuebetting he is calling river for sure. He dont have that much bluffs in his range since you have a 10 u knock out some combos that he might have like Q10, J10, 107..

big winning reg, solid hand reader>fold

Re: [100NL] River CR spot?

what u got to realise is that he is checking back a ton of his range on the river. so his betting range on the river will often be strong hands like 67 A9 and A8 possibly but less likely sets and some bluffs like TJ, 7T, QT clubs etc. but there are not a ton of bluff hands he can have

i would prefer just bombing the river tbh.

the A doesnt hit him all that often, most of the time he has some 9x or 8x hand and u rep a decent amount of value hands so should have decent fold equity

edit: just realised i basically repeated what was just said
