100NL: Boat for value?

So we're pretty deep here, villain is 63/51 with 24% 3b and 2.5 AF, I am 50/44 with 20% 3b and also ~2.5 AF..

Hero (BB): $311
BTN: $322

Preflop: Hero is in BB with 8 8
BTN raises to $3, Hero raises to $11, BTN calls $8

Flop: ($22) T T 2
Hero bets $18, SB calls $18

Turn: ($58) 5
Hero bets $52, BTN calls $52

River: ($162) T
Hero bets $68, BTN raises to $142, Hero?

What makes the most sense here? Prev. streets played ok?

Ahead of 7's and 6's. Behind against all other plausible hands? I'd probably just c/f river

Re: 100NL: Boat for value?

i'd prolly go for 3 streets too on this board runout, but your betsizing on the flop, turn and river is messed up.

Hero (BB): $311
BTN: $322

Preflop: Hero is in BB with 8 8
BTN raises to $3, Hero raises to $11, BTN calls $8

Flop: ($22) T T 2
Hero bets $13, SB calls $13

Turn: ($48) 5
Hero bets $28, BTN calls $28

River: ($104) T
Hero bets $68

I think you played it okay. I agree your sizing seems a little bit odd - you really seem to give him the least chance to monkey around here.

we get good odds and we def induce some spew w that sizing so yeah call. I'd def bet smaller on flop and turn, no point in rivering a boat if you don't leave any worse in villain's range

How much was he 4betting? I assume you have some weird history that justified your weird turn/river sizings. I'd fold as played and regret how I played the hand overall.

Re: 100NL: Boat for value?

Can someone elaborate what should be the ideal bet sizes on the F/T/R here and why?

ahhh don't spoil the discussion so early, OP. I wanted to enquire about his 4 bet tendencies.

Large turn bets do seem to induce spew though, just realised this today when I randomly spazzed out to a particularily large turn bet

for me.

Flop- 14. small given size of 3 bet and stacks, board is dry and we can induce light call downs

Turn- 27, again small, board is still very dry and excellent turn card for out hand, still inducing calls from overs and lower pairs

River- 49, for value, can expect call downs from a variety of Ax hands and pairs we beat. Gross when we get raised, but depending on reads on villian decision will need to be made.

On another note, how to we react to a snap shove, how do we react to a tank shove?

I'm assuming villian is pretty bad, OP?

he doesn't jam river? just raise but <allin? strongly leaning towards thinking random bluff / random counterfeited 22 than quads, as quads just jam.
