$1/$2 NL HU

V *BB* $150
Hero *SB/BTN* $400

1st hand in match, fish completes, Hero checks.. flop 775ss V ships allin Hero folds

This is the 2nd hand in match..

Hero raises $5.5 with TT, V 3bets to $11, Hero 4bets to $36, V calls

Flop ($72): JJ9ssc
V checks, Hero bets $24, V calls

Turn ($120): 9h
V checks, Hero checks

River ($120): K
V shoves $90, Hero ???

PF, his 3b looked really weak so I 4b for value.

OTF, maybe the 1/3 PScbet was a mistake? I felt like I'd be in an uncomfortable spot if I bet big and got c/raise-shoved on. Also, not betting means giving him free turn cards.

OTT, I was lost, and felt like it was impossible to get called by worse so just checked for pot control and thought of picking up some river bluffs.

Letting this go to the river imo was the biggest mistake.

2 of the Jacks are out there reducing the chance of him having a jack pretty significantly. You know hes not ever showing up with QQ, KK, or AA. Judging by his play in H1 and the awkward stack size when he calls the 4b I'm going to ship flop and feel great about it, this puts him in a position to make a really easy mistake with overs or overs + gutshot or the occasional underpair that sees a paired board and can't fold. As played on the flop I would still jam the turn.

Once we see his fishy play in hand one and fishy sizing preflop in hand two I'm inclined to move TT into my flatting range because I want to play flops w this guy, especially in position. I want to 4 bet less hands and TT feels like a good candidate to shift into calling range. We will make better decisions post prob.

As played I think the line makes sense but we need to call river once we under rep our hand a bit on the turn. I expect to lose showdown a decent amount but we are obv getting a price so calling seems best.
