Utah legislator introduces anti gambling bill

http://stephensandstrom.com/2011/12/...line-gambling/

The proposed bill prohibits all internet gambling. He says it's in response to Barton's bill. I wrote a sob story to my local reps here in UT about being a disabled vet who earned money from poker, but I'm probably just going to have to move if I ever want to play poker from home

in before nobody is surprised.

Somebody acting like a bill is about to be passed is good news, unless you live in Utah imo.

Could also be a possible vehicle to a Internet Poker exemption...

He's running for US congress, so his stance seems relevant.

Does anyone know his opponent and how much of a chance he has to win?

Sorry kids, but UT always opts out, or never opts in, doesn't pass intrastate bill, w/e.

There is no gambling in UT, and that isn't gonna change in even the distant future.

Is this the most negative sounding positive news for federally regulated, interstate online poker ever? If you don't live in Utah that is.
