Lol, go read op, Moran. The guy took the time to spell it all out for everyone. The least you could do is read it before posting. It also discussed the age requirements, which was probably your next question.

I heard that the Tribal Council is voting on Friday about whether they accept this proposal or not. Lets all do a rain dance.

Wow- faster action than I expected. Where did you hear of this? If they vote to accept it, we may get all the changes by July 1st after all! Of course, that's a BIG if.

Even if they voted for it. I thought they would have to do special session and that would take a week or 2 to get together then it has to go to federal register and that takes possibly a month?

How could you possibly have heard that the Tribal Council is meeting to vote on this on Friday? If someone told you that, they made it up. The council is not in the habit of making their business public.

Yep. Just being silly. It will take some time yet, even if they do actually meet this Friday and do pass it. But then again, maybe everyone is trying to fast track this. Hard to know without inside info. Where did you hear that the tribal council is going to vote this Friday?

That sucks. Looks like we are going back to the drawing board. Then again, this might just be posturing by the Tribe to find out the reaction of the legislative leaders so they know going into their meeting what they can get away with if they don't vote to accept the new compact. Guess we'll find out tomorrow.

BTW, they Sun-Sentinel published this article two minutes later:
