Re: ePassporte reportedly pulls plug on US players

Has anyone ever cashed out of Cake using checks? How long does it take generally? Any issues with banks cashing them in?

Should we be worried about getting money off of ePassporte now?

I too just called Epassporte - the rep said that they are just having tech issues, I asked several times if they were stopping with poker and he said no. So take that for what its worth - I'm hoping he wasn't just saying that to get me off the phone and didn't really know for sure.

I would say for people not to panic but the point is that Cake and Absolute have both pulled Epassporte from their deposit and withdrawal options. They would not do this if they had any other choice.

I believe that Epassporte is just trying to slow down all the withdrawals. They may, and I don't know this for sure, not have the funds to cover a mass withdrawal request. I withdrew all mine earlier this evening using my ATM card.

Your personal accounts are fine, debit card and ATM are fine and balances are fine. The issue is the POKER merchant accounts only. Unlike Neteller there are other types of businesses that rely heavily on Epass that are not having any issues.

To all Cake Poker Customers:
We have received notice from ePassporte today that they are unable to continue to provide CakePoker with merchant e-wallet services. We have since confirmed that this situation is not unique to CakePoker and is, in fact, industry wide.
While we are disappointed with this decision, we want to reassure all players that there will be no impact to either your account balances or your account status at Cake. We are pleased to have launched earlier this week with a new payment processor and have already secured alternative processors/eWallets that we will be launching in the weeks to come. We are also in discussions with other providers that will be making their services available in the CakePoker cashier soon. Players are welcome to inquire with Customer Support for more details.
As always, we value your business and will continue to make every effort possible to make your poker experience a great one.
Regards,
The CakePoker Team

Why do you freaking morons keep posting that statement from Cake Poker? I think that point had sunk in by the 10th time it was posted.

Man I have like 20k on Epass.

I raised my limits recently to 2k/day bank transfer and 2k/day ATM. Just got 2k from ATM and requested the 2k bank transfer.

I don't wanna panic but I remember the Neteller deal too well.

Epass may no longer work for depositing on poker sites, but people with money in Epass should not be worried. Epass = Internet porn. America loves porn.
