Thanks for sharing that article, gary. Amazing thoughts that come from the people that are voting NO. Abosolute emotional fear they are putting into their opinions. If this passes and table games are in CHarles Town, I wonder if those that voted NO will fess up and say: I was wrong that I thought CHarles Town will be the next Las Vegas or Atlantic City. I was dead wrong that ''Table games will bring in sleazy elements from the inner cities..." I was wrong that I thought the things I though that turned out to be untrue.

The vote NO voters really don't have good solid reasons for their vote like the YES voters do. Anyway, 6 days and counting!

By the way, is there a Web site that we can go to to find out the results? I will want to know that very Saturday. Any thoughts on how we can get results ASAP?

Here is an article that appeared in the Frederick, MD News Post that includes some people predicting the Referendum on Table Games will pass and speculates about Maryland's reaction (i.e. Maryland may add table games to their slots parlours).

Interesting article, Hands. I hope they do get table games. They need to turn that National Harbor complex into one giant casino. Everytime I drive accross the bridge, it reminds me of a casino.

During the long slots battle, National Harbor was talked about as a possible site for slots. However, there is significant religious opposition in Prince George's County to gambling and the Virginia General Assembly actually passed a resolution asking Maryland not to place any of their slot parlors within eyesight of the Virginia shoreline LOL

National Harbor is a great location for a casino, and the area could use it but I doubt it would happen for a long while.

Charles Town is probably the only real casino the NoVa area will have in the near future, I don't think Virginia will ever approve slots let alone table games.

I agree. Forget Virginia getting casinos, but if we Have Charles Town and then MD--then we're pretty good to go.

I voted today, at 9:10, I was there 5 minutes and saw 15 to 20 people voting. The turn out seems like it will be much larger this year compared to two years ago. I think a large turnout favors the "Yes" vote, More people are more concerned with the issue this time, given the unemployment factors and Maryland and Pa. passing slots.

Let's hope the voter turnout is large, it will certainly favor the yes vote if it is. It is now "crunch time" I was in Jefferson County again yesterday and support sure seems strong.

I'm prolly countine my eggs before they're hatched, but I went up and already got my players points card. I can already envision playing there! I'm so looking forward to playing there. I was surprised how big it is now from the expansion.

Hoping this passes. I live just outside Jefferson county and go to Shepherd University. I'll be able to drive the 20 minutes over and play anytime if it happens.

"Polls throughout the county will be open for voters from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Saturday"

Is snow predicted in Charles Town tomorrow?

I know we are supposed to get 1-2 inches in D.C. I hope a lot of the pro-table games people already voted as even a little bad weather could effect turnout.

The Christmas parade is scheduled for tommorrow, plenty of people should already be out and about. The snow will just add to the holiday spirit and all voters will be in a better mood .....right??? I still think we should be alright all the talk is that it will pass handily. Hope so.
