Sorry if a thread like this has been posted before, but I couldn't seem to find any. All of what The PPA and other lobbyist do on our side do is great; however, in my opinion if I-poker legislation and our cause was marketed slightly different it could be more effective. I am no expert and I only intend to bring these ideas to light.

1.It seems to me that while focusing on the revenue, jobs, and industry side of the issue is extremely important in any political cause; The freedom side of I-poker is not being equated in the same way. For example, why haven't things like My 91 year old grandfather who is not of the health at his age to be able to go to a casino to play poker, enjoys his right to play I-poker and is disturbed by the notion of the government taking that right away, recieved more attention.

2. People on the other side of the issue are constantly saying how I-poker is going to turn your childs smartphone into a casino and stuff to that extent. We can't just come back with the arguement of what I-poker legislation will create industry and revenue wise, we need take there arguement and flip it on them and say that I-poker legislation will actually protect our children from gambling etc...

Obviously I understand that The PPA already knows these type of ideas I am talking about. But why isn't more focus put on them? Maybe I am wrong but it just seems to me that not enough attention has been put on this side of the issue for us. Not to mention the fact that we could completely take away any arguement they have if we ran with what I am saying.

Anyways like i said I am no expert on the issue just thought I put some thoughts out there. Anyone else with ideas on how we can make our cause more marketable and mainstream friendly?

These are all already incorporated in the arguments used for our side. See c4cop.com for examples. But it takes a lot of money for the sort of marketing campaign you propose to reach the mainstream. Hopefully the new alliance between Amaya and Caesars will result in more bucks and better marketing for our cause.

I hope so cause to me it just seems that we clearly have the winning side of the arguement but not enough polticians seem to care enough to take action.

seems like a great way to market our situation is to find vehicles to ride on such as social media pages with a lot of followers and engagement. I've seen success with Rand and Ron Paul posting on the topic as well as some others.

as a poker player, i'm used to ignorant people making negative assumptions about me sometimes.

'Campaign for Liberty' and 'Libertarian Girl' are other social media outlets that will get a lot of exposure for our cause. 'Campaign for Liberty has already made successful posts about our cause. Talking 'likes' and engagement in the thousands.
