has their been any change to whether people are getting 100% of their funds or not? or is it still 'if there is enough money blah blah blah'?

It is, always has been, and always will be based on "if there is enough money" in the remissions pool to cover all claims. However, there should be enough funds available to pay 100%, considering the amount paid by PokerStars and the amount reportedly owed to players.

Being that 100% of player funds are there but not 100% of players will submit a claim, what happens with the excess player funds?

So long as there is still money available, it is DOJ/CGC's job to try and get that money into the hands of those entitled to it. Although this situation is uncommon, in past remission cases when there has been more money than what is initially distributed there has been a second attempt to get people to claim it. Eventually, however, the matter will have to be closed and at that point left over funds go to ... the government.

Sorry if this has been answered, I couldn't find it ITT.

How are player points being handled in each of these cases...

#1 I know how many player points I had and can prove it
and
#2 I have no idea how many player points I had but would like to be paid fair value for them.

Thanks.

We have no idea at this point what CGC/DOJ will decide with respect to player points, ironman medals, and other similar promotional credits.

If CGC/DOJ remains silent on the issue when the remission process starts, I have little doubt that someone will claim payment for them and thus force a decision.

now there's a reasonable and fair idea to benefit the victims of this fraud (and i don't mean the hijinks of lederer and the gang)!

and i'd say there's AT LEAST a 1 in 10,000,000 chance of this happening

I haven't seen any information on accounts that are frozen and pending verification. Any idea around this? Can't necessarily login to check balance.

Depending on the details, this may mean you have to do more to prove the account in question is yours and/or that the balance was not fraudulent.

But if you had an account with a legitimate positive balance, even a frozen one, you should be entitled to that balance as part of the remission - it may just take more effort to get it.

He also said that as soon as the claims are opened on 9/16 that they will begin processing them as they come in, but it doesn't matter if a claim is sent in on the first day, last day (11/16), or any day in between because they will all be paid at the same time after all claims had been processed. He said that it will be file claims>process claims>electronic payment made.

I asked for a timeframe and he said he really couldn't give one and that it would just be speculation. I asked if he thought we would get paid in 2013 and he said it could take longer but we could have it by Thanksgiving, that he really didn't know, and that he honestly couldn't make a confident prediction on it.

Is there a consensus on how much value we should assign to each player point when we make our claim?

I have 68k points and have no idea how much they are "worth."

I thought it was about $4/1000.

If you want to attempt to derive your own prices from their store, you can use this snapshot of from 2007:

My guess is they won't be paying out points....if you relocate to outside of the US and open your ftp account, your balance is $0 but all points are still there. Since the points still exist and FTP lets you use them if you move I'd guess the govt isn't paying because if they were how would they know if you used your FTP points if you moved abroad, you could possibly be using them twice

*this is only speculation on my part, not based on any facts*

This is being treated as a fraud case by the DoJ. I'm not aware of the DoJ accepting any settlement that forced American victims to relocate abroad to get their money back.

So, DoJ may determine that we're entitled to cash value for the points through remissions, or they may decide we're not, but IMO it's very unlikely availability of points outside the US will play any role in the decision.

Here's a guide on how to find out what your current Full Tilt Balance is:

To get your Full Tilt Poker balance, you'll have to download your account history. I just downloaded mine. Here's how to do it:
  • Go to FullTiltPoker.com and download the client.
  • Open the client and log in. Your old login credentials should still work.
  • Go to "Requests" in the menu bar and select "Account History...(Web)." A web page will open, where you can create a request for your history.
  • Select the date range for your request. I chose an end date a couple of weeks after Black Friday (choose something like 5/1/2011) and a start date a few months prior. Once done, click "submit."
  • You'll receive an email when the file is ready for download. Mine took just a few minutes.
  • Once you receive the email, select "Account History...(Web)" in the "Requests" menu of the FTP client, download the ZIP file from the web page that opens, and simply open the Excel-compatible spreadsheet.
  • If you don't have Excel (or a compatible spreadsheet program), you have some free options. One is to use Google Docs, at http://docs.google.com. Another is to download MS Excel Viewer at http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downl...ils.aspx?id=10. I downloaded it myself to verify I could open this spreadsheet. It works fine. Another is to download LibreOffice.
  • For your FTP point balance, open the cashier in the client. While our cash balances are not there, our point balances are.

Has it been mentioned yet what "final balances with FTP as of April 15, 2011" actually means? My balance as of 00:00 on 4/15/2011 is different than 23:59 on 4/15/2011 so I'm curious which one is applicable.
