I'm sure many feel the efforts are futile and that the US will never get legislation but what does it hurt to at least try! Remember the squeakiest wheel get the oil.

Come on people I know there are plenty of you who look at this thread and still do nothing, so stop looking and get to doing!
I see sajeffe quoted this and put it in the Internet Poker forum and NVG, but that is where you should post this. I think anytime you go post "done" "tweeted" or w/e, you should do it in those threads. My belief is most of the people reading PL are doing the DAP. We need the tards in the zoo and NVG.

Yeah I agree with you but I was in a hurry, glad sajeffe took time to quote them there.

Yep. Exactly why I did that.

Loved your post and agree with it whole-heartedly. The Zoo and NVG needed to see it.

I made this post in NVG about pros not stepping up to fight

Anybody up for the idea of taking a day and dedicating the PPA action to twittering/facebook/blogging/posting about how much we need respected pros to step up? Sure these people can't lobby on our behalf, but they have the voice to move the masses in online poker to lobby as a whole. Just saying.

I totally agree with this. We need to inspire the big guns to inspire the little guns and young guns. I've been in touch with Taylor Caby recently. We'll see if he responds to the email I just sent him. I pointed him to Sluggger's thread in NVG and asked him to get involved.

Justin Bonomo did the facebook thing for one day early on before he left the country. Jason Senti posts on the politician pages sometimes. Other than that, I haven't seen any "famous" names -- though I'm not really very knowledgable about who's who. Like several others, Randy Lew is now in Canada. But just because these guys are out of the country doesn't mean they can't still inspire the masses.

And a big +1 to the guys in STT Strategy forum for the participation contest. Shame having to offer prizes, but if that's what it takes! We need to promote that though. The Zoo people (and NVG) would love to know they could get free coaching and/or HH analysis for participating in advocating for their game. But it can't be in the Action Plan threads because if they aren't already participating, they aren't reading it. New threads needed to promote the contest.
