Will you take a few moments to stand up for poker? These items take just ten seconds each to complete. Click your mouse and lose your nanny in the House...and the Senate! Let's focus on deficit super committee member Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC) today:
  1. Send a prefilled, editable pro-poker Twitter message HERE.
  2. "Like" the main FB page HERE, then click HERE to post a comment in support of Internet poker.
    • Either cut-and-paste, "Please ask the deficit super committee to support HR 2366, the Online Poker Act. This bill raises $$$ without raising taxes. Thank you." or write your own.
    • Be sure to “like” the other pro-poker comments!
Please reply in this thread with "tweeted", "done", etc. to encourage others to participate as well. The past ELEVEN actions have generated triple-digit participation, so let's keep it growing. Thanks!

There are 92 tweets, 65 likes of my FB post, and many FB posts and comments. As some here did just one or two of the three actions (I have many PMs stating, "I don't use Facebook, "I don't use Twitter," etc.), I estimate total participation at something over 100.

Tell'em to buck up and get on those sites. I didn't have Twitter, but I made an account strictly for this reason.

Seriously though, the Twitter actions are so easy. If you don't have a Twitter account take a couple minutes to sign up and tweeting all 12 debt super committee members takes like 20-30 seconds.

QFT. I didn't have Facebook or Twitter but I created accounts just to help the cause. You can create a new Twitter account in a matter of seconds.

BTW tweeted, liked, and posted my own comments!

TE maybe we can include some pro players/celebs in the twitter messages.

Something like:
@RepHensarling HR 2366, TX Rep. Barton's Online #Poker Act, raises $$$ w/o raising taxes. PLZ support on #deficit cmte! @TheEngineer2008

I'm not saying use it as one of the daily action plans just have a different pro for each committee member for the full list like it is now. Should be able to get more retweets that way.

These people reposted the daily action plan when I went on a tweeting spree:

@kevmath
@gank
@AllenKessler

These people that retweeted(I think, I'm still a twitter newb) the daily action plan when we started contacting the debt committee:

@goborooo
@KaraOTR
@JRD312
@Mark_Gahagan
@Wretchy
@BryanMicon
@NHCC
@sketchy1poker
@Ray_Henson
@AKJHossier1
@realcharder30

All have 1k+ followers but 2.

Celebrities that may help:
@IJasonAlexander
@ShannonElizab
@normmacdonald

+1. And all the other actions. Disappointed to see so few making statements, etc. Maybe they're working hard behind the scenes (donating money to PPA or whatever) but think it would help the campaign if they went public.
